As a Senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) focusing on Data, AI & Machine Learning (ML) platform development, you will play a critical role driving our enterprise-level programs and initiatives, ensuring product roll-out and technology adoption across the organization. In this role you will develop and manage roadmaps, define milestones and success metrics, manage program scope, ensure alignment with business priorities, and drive the building of scalable, secure, reliable, efficient Data and AI/ML products and platforms to achieve business outcomes.
As part of the Platform Services and Emerging Technologies (PSET) group, you will work with Autodesk Research and other internal AI/ML groups acting as a key contributor to realizing Autodesk's AI/ML vision, establishing market share and competitiveness, and turning AI/ML into a core company technology that revolutionizes product lines and affects industry verticals.
Responsibilities
Partner with product, technology, and platform leaders to shape and operationalize Data and AI/ML platform strategies, including Large Language Model initiatives
Collaborate with subject matter experts to simplify complex technical issues and steer data-driven decisions across product, engineering, design, and data science teams
Drive alignment across divisional leadership and cross-functional teams; clarify ambiguity and bring structure to chaotic environments
Define and drive program outcomes, deliverables, milestones, and dependencies; plan and ensure successful delivery
Anticipate bottlenecks, manage risks, lead escalations, and balance business needs with technical constraints
Communicate program progress and decisions across organizational boundaries and levels - from individual contributors to senior executives
Provide technical leadership to program teams and mentor less experienced colleagues
Establish and implement organization-wide processes; continuously improve operational effectiveness and velocity using Agile and Lean principles
Operate independently, seeking guidance only at critical decision points
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Operations Research, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning, or other quantitative fields
7+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, Software Architect, or similar role, preferably delivering Data and AI/ML solutions
Strong technical aptitude and ability to clearly explain AI/ML concepts (e.g., supervised/unsupervised learning, generative AI)
Experience building products based on data, hypotheses, and MVPs by defining and aligning on clear requirements
Proficiency with tools such as Confluence, JIRA, GitHub, and AI productivity tools
Exceptional communication and influencing skills across all organizational levels in hybrid/remote environments
Action-oriented, detail-driven, and passionate about process excellence and continuous learning
The Ideal Candidate
Prior development or management experience on Data or AI/ML platforms in a large tech company
Operates at both strategic and execution levels; comfortable negotiating and influencing senior leadership and imparting a sense of urgency
Thrives in ambiguity; able to make sense of chaos, drive clarity, and create structure where none exists
Proactive in stakeholder management and relationship building
Balances high-level strategy and vision with detailed, large-scale cross-functional planningFunctions as an equal partner with Engineering counterparts, Architects, Product Managers, Experience Designers, and Product Owners
Demonstrates an unwavering desire to learn and continuously challenge themselves
