At Personio, we're embedding AI into our culture - from internal tooling to the way we onboard, train, and deliver value to customers. We're looking for a proactive, pragmatic AI Program Manager to shape the roadmap, accelerate delivery, and drive grassroots adoption of AI across our business.
You'll be the first of your kind at Personio: sitting in Data & Systems - Strategy & Ops, influencing stakeholders across every function, and helping us turn big ideas into real, impactful programs.
What You'll Do
- Shape and own Personio's AI roadmap by connecting strategic vision with real, high-impact business use cases, ensuring alignment with company objectives and evolving priorities.
- Drive the full lifecycle of AI initiatives- from identifying opportunities and building business cases, to planning, execution, rollout, and adoption - collaborating closely with product, data, engineering, systems, and legal teams.
- Champion AI adoption and enablement by designing and delivering onboarding, training, and upskilling programs that empower every employee to use AI confidently and responsibly.
- Facilitate the AI Council to ensure company-wide alignment, transparency, and prioritization on what gets built next and how we work with AI.
- Establish and track ambitious OKRs and key metrics for all AI programs, surfacing risks early, reporting on progress, and driving continuous improvement.
- Embed compliance, ethics, and security into every AI initiative, working with legal, data, and security teams to ensure responsible and safe adoption of AI across the business.
- Stay ahead of AI trends and best practices, bringing innovative ideas and external perspective to keep Personio at the forefront of practical, value-driven AI adoption.
- Act as a cross-functional connector and communicator, ensuring all stakeholders-from executives to end users-are informed, engaged, and invested in Personio's AI journey.
What You Need to Succeed
- 8+ years program or project management experience, in SaaS, technology, or consulting, with a proven track record of leading complex, cross-functional initiatives from inception through to adoption.
- Strong understanding of AI concepts and trends - you can confidently engage with both technical and non-technical teams about LLMs, prompt engineering, and practical business use cases.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, including experience influencing senior leaders, collaborating across business units, and aligning diverse teams around a shared vision.
- Proactive, organized, and resilient, with a passion for technology and a drive to make a tangible impact at scale.
- Experience working with data, engineering, or systems teams, with a solid understanding of how technology and data-driven initiatives drive business value.
- Comfort working across ambiguity - you bring structure where there's none and drive things forward independently.
- Bonus: hands on exposure to data science, analytics or AI/ML teams.

What Success Looks Like
- Month 3: You have the AI council sync up and running, scoped and rolling out project plans for initial AI roadmap items, and a well established grassroots enablement.
- Month 6: Roadmap and 2-year vision in place, with adoption metrics, council cadence, and cross-functional delivery under way.
- Month 12: You've helped launch multiple AI initiatives, trained teams, and ensured AI's embedded in the way we work.
