Job Duties and Responsibilities
Candidates must be willing to participate in at least one in-person interview, which may include a live whiteboarding or technical assessment session.
The core challenge of this role involves evolving a Core Systems Platform from traditional, deterministic API workflows into advanced, AI-ready orchestration layers. Transitioning from hard-coded sequencing to model-driven automation is critical to ensuring the platform remains at the forefront of the autonomous agent revolution. This leadership position bridges the gap between complex cloud-native architectures and high-value enterprise workflows to deliver a reliable, secure foundation for global carrier and OEM partners. Diving deep into technical execution is essential to driving this transition forward as a hands-on builder.
What Success Looks Like (Objectives)
- Sequence the product roadmap to transition Core Systems from deterministic API workflows to advanced AI-ready orchestration layers.
- Identify and curate high-value enterprise workflows for autonomous agents, developing the necessary tool schemas and resource definitions for AI-accessible interfaces.
- Drive the architectural evolution from rigid sequencing to probabilistic, model-driven tool selection and context-aware automation.
- Design scalable cloud-native architectures for microservices and event-driven workflows on AWS/GCP that align with enterprise reliability and performance goals.
- Serve as the primary technical lead for partner integrations with carriers and OEMs, designing universal interfaces that support both REST and AI agent consumers.
- Establish robust AI governance, security models, and system behavior monitoring frameworks to ensure operational safety, compliance, and predictable platform performance.
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Core Skills and Competencies (What you'll bring)
- Deep expertise in distributed backend architecture, API design, and cloud-native microservices on cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
- Strong proficiency in AI application and LLM integration frameworks, with an understanding of emerging model-driven orchestration standards.
- Advanced communication skills enabling the translation of complex engineering documentation, including sequence diagrams and entity-relationship diagrams, into clear business strategies.
- Proven ability to design platform capabilities and universal interfaces that support diverse external partner integrations across business and technical units.
- Outstanding critical thinking and problem-solving skills to navigate complex, cross-functional environments and drive technical execution as a deep-diving builder.
- High competency in establishing AI governance, least-privilege role-based access control, and operational safety measures for autonomous systems.
Additional Qualifications
Successful candidates will typically have a proven track record of delivering large-scale platform products or complex enterprise integrations in cloud-native environments, navigating both corporate structures and fast-paced startup ecosystems. Specific experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) or Universal Commerce Protocol (UCP) is a significant advantage. Domain expertise in Telecom, Wireless, or MVNO ecosystems-particularly involving 5G, eSIM, and device provisioning integrations-is highly valued.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
Minimum Experience: 5+ years of experience in Technical Product Management, Platform Product Management, or Solution Architecture
Required Technical Skills: Must have at least 5 years of experience with:
- API architecture and distributed systems on AWS or GCP
- Designing platform capabilities for external partner ecosystems
- Implementing monitoring frameworks for complex system behavior
