Position Summary:

As a Senior Technical Product Manager, at CVS Health, in our "Analytics & Behavior Change" group, you will be on the front line of driving innovation and directly impacting business decisions. This role is part of a team that works across the Pharmacy Benefits Management ecosystem building analytical cloud-based products, supporting pharmaceutical rebate forecasting and pricing. You will have a chance to modernize legacy systems using cutting edge technology, to bring in accuracy and efficiency by using data science and AI. You will work with teammates from our business groups, data science, data engineering, and application development, as well as with your peers from partner product owners. you will be developing components of the Underwriting Platform, Rebate forecast engine and formulary tuner, a software product that serves financial users from our Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) business unit. The products we are building have a strong rebate forecasting, what-if scenario, and financial component to them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of key product roadmap items by defining strategies or features, conducting feasibility studies and business cases, outlining next steps, executing plans, and ensuring that they are delivering value to our clients and the enterprise.
  • Ensure milestones are met through effective project management and coordination across workstreams, identifying and communicating dependencies and risks.
  • Monitor program performance rigorously, proactively resolving issues to ensure flawless execution and continuous improvement.
  • Complete analyses and use data to inform decisions; present recommendations to leaders in efforts to develop products and solutions which will have a profound impact on the strategic direction of the company.
  • Create and manage documentation on product operations, outcomes, and Financials.
  • Partner with stakeholders and multiple teams across the enterprise to ensure stakeholders’ satisfaction, operational effectiveness and program financial goals are achieved.
  • Develop presentations and briefings for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Become a subject matter expert for Rebate forecast engine and formulary tuner

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; able to turn data into actionable insights and compelling presentations.

• Highly collaborative, with experience working across operations, data science and data engineering, finance, marketing, and sales.

• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to identify, analyze and solve practical problems; adjusting priorities as needed and meeting deadlines.

• Demonstrated team player, able to develop cross-functional relationships and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

• Must be results-oriented; possess ability to set the right expectations based upon the timelines and workload of cross functional stakeholders; drive the project and keep others on task to meet goals.

• Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work independently with minimal guidance.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of work experience in Software Development projects.
  • 5+ years of Product Owner/Product Manager experience.
  • 3+ years of Agile development methodology.
  • 2+ year of hands-on experience with any programming language.
  • Exceptional communication skills to ensure all stakeholders understand and are aligned with the product plan.
  • Adept at collaboration and teamwork
  • Mastery of problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to thrive in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment where the nature of the work can be varied

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior healthcare industry experience
  • Hands on technical experience such as SQL, Python, Databricks, Rally, Jira, Miro, Figma
  • Experience with product lifecycle, developing business cases and testing new initiatives
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Superior problem-solving skills
  • High level of independent judgment and initiative required
  • History of providing data-based experiences to customers that make the complex understandable.
  • Hands on experience with forecasting, what-if scenario planning, and financial analysis.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$106,605.00 - $260,590.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
