POSITION OVERVIEW 

We are looking to add a Senior Technical Product Manager to our growing Platform Team where you will drive the evolution of our Software Platform and Infrastructure. The ideal candidate should have both technical depth and solid product management experience, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with teams and stakeholders to ensure products meet the highest quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Gain deep technical knowledge of the Alarm.com architecture and leverage exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills to drive platform improvements.
  • Work closely with the Operations team to identify opportunities and drive enhancements to the deployment and operations processes. Collaborate to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency.
  • Run qualitative and quantitative product research across all Alarm.com teams to deeply understand their pain points and future needs.
  • Build strong relationships and collaborate closely with key stakeholders to build consensus and drive the platform roadmap and vision.
  • Prioritize and manage the product backlog, balancing short-term tactical goals with long-term strategic product initiatives.
  • Own and contribute to the entire product development lifecycle - from writing detailed product specifications to working cross-functionally with engineering to ensure timely delivery of platform enhancements.
  • Champion enhancements to Alarm.com's software stack to improve reliability, scalability, and developer productivity.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years of total experience as a technical product manager or in a similar role
  • Exceptional technical aptitude and ability to deeply understand complex software architectures
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills to drive data-informed decisions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Proven track record of shipping high-quality products and delivering value to customers
  • Previous experience liaising across teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience with C# and .NET
  • Experience with SQL Databases
  • Experience with Native Mobile App development
  • Experience with WEB development
  • Experience with the Atlassian Suite
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • Familiarity with Azure and managing a hybrid cloud / on-prem environment
  • Experience working closely with operations/IT teams
