Synopsis of the role
We are looking for a Technical Product Manager (TPM) to own and elevate our digital channels ecosystem (Web, Mobile, and API integrations). In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex system architecture and seamless user experiences.
This is a highly collaborative role: you will partner directly with our Line of Business (LOB) Product Managers, who own the overarching business vision and customer value proposition. While the LOB PMs define the what and the why from a business perspective, you will own the how, translating their vision into a scalable technical roadmap, managing channel-specific capabilities, and ensuring a high performing digital experience.
What You’ll DoManage the Roadmap: Partner closely with LOB Product Managers to co-create, negotiate, and maintain the digital channels roadmap. You will turn business vision into executable requirements and release plans.
Bridge Vision and Execution: Act as the primary strategic link between LOB business leads and the engineering team. Translate business-line goals into clear specifications, user stories, and API requirements.
Manage Dependencies & Tradeoffs: Evaluate LOB feature requests against channel constraints, technical debt, and platform scalability. Proactively negotiate tradeoffs when business vision collides with technical reality.
API & Platform Thinking: Ensure backend services and APIs are built with a platform mindset, scalable, reusable, and optimized to support multiple LOB goals across web and mobile touchpoints.
Optimize Channel Performance: Use data analytics and technical telemetry to ensure the digital channels are fast, secure, and intuitive, safeguarding the user journey defined by the LOBs.
Technical Grooming & Prioritization: Lead agile ceremonies for the channel delivery teams, managing a ruthlessly prioritized backlog that balances LOB innovation with architectural health.
Experience: 7+ years of Product Management experience, specifically managing high traffic digital channels (Web, iOS, Android, or customer facing portals) in a matrixed or multistakeholder environment.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Proven track record of successfully partnering with business focused Product Managers or business units to co-deliver complex digital products.
Technical Fluency: Strong technical foundation. You are comfortable discussing REST APIs, microservices architecture, modern frontend frameworks, and cloud infrastructure.
Data-Driven & Analytical: Experience using digital analytics and performance monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog, Google Analytics) to validate LOB hypotheses and measure channel success.
Communication & Negotiation: Exceptional relationship building skills. You can push back constructively on business stakeholders when technical constraints require it, and you can explain complex technical risks in plain business language.
Orchestration: Experience with orchestration or creating solutions based on orchestrations.
A background in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience in an enterprise environment managing shared digital services.
Experience handling large-scale website content platform transitions (such as enterprise CMS/Sitecore migrations).
Familiarity with embedding smart technologies, data tools, or fraud/risk platforms directly into customer-facing channels.
