Healthcare providers go into medicine to care for people, but end up losing valuable time each day to admin work and other workplace challenges. Time that could otherwise be spent helping patients. And patients end up suffering as a result. At Commure, we build solutions that simplify providers' lives and keep them connected to their patients so they can focus on doing what matters most: providing care.

Our innovative suite of software and hardware – augmented by advanced LLM AI, RTLS, and healthcare workflow automations – boosts efficiency across every domain of healthcare, freeing up healthcare providers to spend more of their time caring for patients. Our growing suite of technologies include staff duress alerting, asset tracking, patient elopement, revenue cycle management, clinical documentation and intake, provider copilots, patient engagement and communication, home health, remote patient monitoring, and more.

Today, we support over 250,000 clinicians across hundreds of care sites around the country. And we’re only just getting started: Healthcare’s watershed moment for AI-powered transformation is here – so join us in creating the technology to power healthcare!

About the Role

Commure + Athelas is seeking a Senior Technical Product Manager to collaborate with our Integration Team. You will play a crucial role in supporting the company’s core products—Revenue Cycle Management (RCM), EHR, Ambient AI, and AI Agents—by ensuring seamless data flow between our platform and over 60 Electronic Medical Records (EMRs). This team is responsible for fetching vital Encounter and Appointment data from multiple EMRs and, when necessary, writing data back to these systems. The team's work ensures the interoperability and smooth exchange of healthcare data via HL7, enabling healthcare providers to deliver more efficient and accurate care while streamlining administrative processes.

  • Hands-On Product Development: You will have the unique opportunity to be on the ground, directly at healthcare clinics, understanding firsthand the challenges and requirements, which will drive the development and implementation of solutions tailored to these complex environments.

  • Leadership and Technical Expertise: You will lead a team of engineers; therefore, deep technical knowledge is crucial. You won't be directly involved in hiring, but you will guide and inspire your team through complex product build outs.

  • Executive-Level Communication: Regular interaction with top executives such as COOs, CSOs, and CIOs of major healthcare systems will require excellent communication skills. You must effectively convey complex ideas and persuade stakeholders to align with your strategic visions.

  • Drive Strategic EMR Partnerships: Collaborate with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Athena, and other EMR vendors to enhance interoperability, ensure compliance, and unlock new product capabilities

  • Stay at the Cutting Edge of Healthcare AI & Interoperability: Keep up with emerging trends in AI-driven automation, autonomous agent workflows, and regulatory shifts to future-proof our integration capabilities.

What You'll Do

  • Own EMR Data Integrations – Lead the development and execution of integrations with Epic, Cerner, Meditech, Athena, and other major EMRs, ensuring real-time data exchange for patient encounters, appointments, claims, and clinical documentation.

  • Solve Complex Data Interoperability Challenges – Build solutions that enable structured, clean, and actionable data to flow between disparate healthcare systems, driving automation and AI-powered insights.

  • Develop AI-Enhanced Data Workflows – Partner with AI and ML teams to ensure that structured clinical, financial, and operational data is ingested, processed, and leveraged effectively for autonomous coding, search, and real-time provider support.

  • Engage with Healthcare IT & Clinical Teams – Work directly with healthcare CIOs, IT leaders, and clinical stakeholders to understand integration pain points, optimize data workflows, and drive seamless adoption of AI-powered tooling.

What You Have

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Physics, or related field

  • Professional Background: 3+ years of experience in Product Management. Plus if 1+ year of Software Engineering

  • Skills and Competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, outstanding interpersonal and communication abilities, and a proven ability to manage complex technology projects across functional boundaries. Experience with SQL and QA best practices are a must.

  • Culture: You are hacky, passionate about healthcare, love a fast-paced culture, and take extreme ownership.

  • Willing to come into our Mountain View Office, 5 days a week.

Why you’ll love working at Commure + Athelas:

  • Highly Driven Team: We work hard and fast for exceptional results, knowing we’re doing mission-driven work to transform the country’s largest sector.

  • Strong Backing: We are backed by top investors including General Catalyst, Sequoia, Y Combinator, Lux, Human Capital, 8VC, Greenoaks Capital and Elad Gil.
