Write your story with a career at Zip

Join Zip’s Product team and own the platform capabilities behind our customer, credit, fraud and identity decisions.

This role is about connecting the dots between business and technology. You’ll dig into complex business problems, understand the customer, commercial and risk outcomes we’re trying to achieve, then get close enough to the technology to understand what needs to change and why.

You don’t need to be an Engineer, but you do need strong technical depth. You’ll be comfortable getting into the detail with Engineering before stepping back to make clear product decisions about where we invest, what we prioritise and how our platforms need to evolve.

What you’ll own

Get to the heart of complex business problems and translate them into clear product and platform opportunities.

Set the product vision, strategy and roadmap for Zip’s decisioning, credit risk, fraud and customer identity platforms.

Partner deeply with Engineering to understand the technical components of business problems and determine the right platform solutions.

Lead improvements to platform scalability, performance, reliability and governance.

Shape an identity first approach to customer data that supports better onboarding, servicing and decision making.

Bring together customer, commercial, risk, data and technology perspectives to make smart prioritisation decisions.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Zipsters work on a broad range of initiatives, and our skills and experiences all look a little different. What really matters to us is that you’re a great fit with our four Values, and have a desire to learn and grow.
  • So whether you meet some or all of the desirable attributes below, we’d still love to hear from you:
  • 7+ years of Product Management experience, ideally including technical or platform products within fintech or banking.
  • A strong Product Management mindset. You start with the business problem, ask the right questions to understand it deeply and translate that understanding into clear product outcomes and priorities.
  • Strong technical capability, with the ability to understand the technology behind a business problem and work confidently with Engineers on potential solutions and trade offs.
  • Domain knowledge in decisioning, credit risk platforms, fraud prevention or Identity and Access Management.
  • Technical grounding in API first design, event driven architecture and distributed systems.
  • Strong commercial judgement, analytical thinking and stakeholder management, with the ability to connect technology investment to measurable business and customer outcomes.
  • A mindset that embraces AI and new tools to adapt, learn and grow.
  • An aptitude for identifying and managing risks. Whether you are a People Manager or an Individual Contributor, we are all leaders at Zip, therefore effective risk management is important to how we run our business and part of all our roles.
  • Our values in your DNA. Customer First, Own It, Stronger Together and Change the Game.
