As a Senior Technical Product Developer, you will collaborate with cross functional teams to execute premium medical accessories and apparel products from concept through pre-production stage. The Technical Product Developer is responsible for communication with the vendor base, developing fit, construction, sizing, and maintaining data integrity with the PLM system. Our ideal candidate has a strong skill set in technical design and product development, They are creative, passionate about our product, highly organized, and detail oriented. Building strong relationships with cross functional and vendor teams is an integral part of this role. You will report directly to our Senior Manager of Technical Design and will collaborate with our Design, Merchandising, Sourcing, Product Integrity, and Raw Materials teams to deliver commercially ready products for our health care community.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute premium medical apparel and accessories products from concept through pre-production stage. Product categories include softgoods, apparel, and hardgoods.
- Build and maintain tech pack data integrity including bill of materials, specs, construction, sketches, etc in Centric PLM. to communicate requirements for Design aesthetic, fit, and construction to vendor partners.
- Prioritize and execute daily workload in alignment with GTM deliverables & development timelines.
- Lead sample review sessions & presentations: evaluate fit and construction execution, present style history, and advise necessary fit and construction corrections for assigned styles.
- Analyze and communicate the outcome of review/fit sessions, artwork reviews, and construction reviews with cross functional and vendor partners.
- Manage daily communication with vendor partners.
- Deliver consistent fit and quality across product categories according to brand standards.
- Execute Design’s vision while ensuring product execution is high quality, durable, and production friendly.
- Finalize buy ready tech packs for each style including sketches, artwork, BOMs, final patterns, and size charts.
- Support team in proto changes, challenges, and solutions at GTM meetings.
- Manage seasonal tracking of samples, strike offs, and testing submits.
- Conduct strike off and testing review sessions with cross functional teams.
- Partner with Product Integrity to creatively solve and prevent quality concerns.
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in the fashion industry with a deep knowledge of accessories development process from Concept through Production.
- Strong knowledge of accessories sourcing across both soft and hardgoods
- Able to effectively communicate with international vendors and cross functional teams (written & verbal)
- Proficiency in MS office (Excel/Word), Google Suite, and Adobe Design Suite.
- Proficiency in Centric PLM or similar software.
- Background in Domestic and International and production
- Knowledge of accessories construction methods in multiple substrates across multiple product categories
- Familiarity or proficiency with Gerber Pattern Making and/or 3D software (CLO, Browzwear) is an asset.

FIGS Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range
- At FIGS, your base salary is one part of your total compensation package. This role's base salary range is between $100,000 and $120,000. Actual base salary is determined based on a number of factors, including but not limited to your relevant skills, qualifications, and years of experience.
