The Senior Technical Office Engineer is responsible for managing cost control, tendering, contract administration, and financial coordination across development projects, ensuring commercial accuracy and contractual compliance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents.
- Conduct technical and financial evaluation of contractor quotations.
- Manage contractor payments, invoices, claims, and variation orders.
- Prepare project cash flow forecasts and cost control reports.
- Coordinate between consultants, contractors, and internal teams.
- Review shop drawings and ensure alignment with specifications.
- Monitor project budgets and forecast financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with contractual and cost control procedures.
RequirementsQualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Certification in contracts or cost management (preferred).
- 8–12 years of experience in technical office, cost control, or quantity surveying roles.
- Experience in commercial, residential, and villa projects preferred.
- Strong knowledge of contracts, tendering, and cost control systems.
- Familiarity with FIDIC and contractual frameworks.
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and cost control software.
- Strong analytical and financial evaluation skills.
- Ability to interpret contractual clauses and commercial risks.
- Strong coordination and negotiation skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Commercially aware and financially disciplined.
- Proactive with strong ownership mindset.
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
