At Cloudera, we deliver a hybrid data platform built for the enterprise, supporting organizations with data insights, governance, machine learning and AI across their entire data estate. As a leader in data management and cloud solutions, Cloudera empowers its customers to transform complex data into actionable intelligence. Our Content Development Team plays an essential role in ensuring that our technical content is clear, accurate, and user-friendly for developers, system administrators, and end-users.

This role requires close collaboration with technical writers, engineers, UX designers, and product managers to deliver high-quality, user-centric content.

As a Technical Editor you will…

  • Develop and maintain technical content guidelines and UX writing guidelines to ensure clear, concise, and consistent in-product copy, including error messages, tooltips, onboarding instructions, microcopy, and vocabulary

  • Define and implement DITA best practices for the content team, ensuring a consistent structure, style, and organization in all documents

  • Provide guidance to technical writers on using DITA principles effectively to improve content reusability, modularity, and information architecture

  • Manage the editorial process across multiple projects, ensuring deadlines are met in fast-paced development cycles

  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of Cloudera’s documentation and UX writing style guides and best practices

  • Assist with localization efforts, ensuring consistency and quality in translated technical and UX materials

  • Ensure that all documents comply with industry regulations, Cloudera standards, and technical requirements

  • Proactively identify areas for improving documentation processes, in-product content, and DITA-based workflows

  • Assist in the creation of videos to assist end-users with their use of Cloudera products and components

  • Partner with the internal tools team, product management, engineering team, and engineering program management to ensure technical content is validated and published to Cloudera Documentation portal in a timely manner

We are excited if you have...
