Job DescriptionAs a Senior Technical Designer at Ubisoft Montreal, you will support the Level Design team by contributing to the creation, integration, validation, and maintenance of mission content and gameplay flows. You’ll work closely with Level Designers and Technical Design teams to help ensure the quality and consistency of gameplay experiences.
What you’ll do
- Support the implementation, integration, and validation of mission content, gameplay flows, and branching sequences
- Collaborate with Level Designers and Technical Design teams to maintain mission quality and consistency
- Define, document, and improve guidelines related to mission flow and visual scripting
- Review mission implementations to ensure alignment with technical standards and the project’s creative vision
- Provide day-to-day support and troubleshoot issues related to mission workflows and scripting
- Analyze and triage Jira tickets, resolve straightforward issues, and escalate more complex cases when needed
- Create and maintain node-based scripting systems using proprietary and industry-standard tools
- Support the testing, validation, and improvement of internal mission creation tools
- Contribute feedback to improve production tool usability and efficiency
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to support production needs in a fast-paced environment

- Familiarity with Unreal Blueprints or similar scripting tools
- Understanding of mission flow, gameplay integration, validation, and branching logic

- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new tools and workflows
- Familiarity with game engines or scripting systems used in game development; programming knowledge is an asset
