Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Technical Designer to join our Technical Design team. This role is responsible for ensuring that design vision is translated into well-constructed, manufacturable garments that reflect brand aesthetics and design integrity. The successful candidate will lead fit sessions, manage technical development from showroom samples through production approval, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure product quality, fit, and execution across Women's Suits and Ready-to-Wear categories.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage product lifecycle from showroom sample through pre-production fit approval.
    • Oversee pre-production sample development, ensuring alignment with design intent and quality standards.
    • Develop comprehensive technical packages, including final graded specifications and construction details.
    • Lead live fit sessions to evaluate and refine garment fit, construction, and quality.
    • Execute fit comments and communicate updates to vendors and global teams in a timely manner.
    • Provide grading guidelines and ensure accurate size grading that preserves fit and design integrity.
    • Partner with Product Development, Design, and Production teams to maintain development timelines and production milestones.
    • Create and manage WIP reports to track development progress and garment delivery status.

Qualifications

  • College degree or equivalent professional experience required.
    • 7+ years of Technical Design experience, including experience with woven dresses, blouses, suits, and ready-to-wear products.
    • Proven expertise in apparel fitting, garment specifications, and pattern evaluation.
    • Working knowledge of PLM systems, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong project management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
    • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
    • Ability to work independently while managing multiple deadlines and priorities.
    • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and global offices.

The pay range for this position is: $90,000 - $110,000 per year.
