Harness is the AI Software Delivery Platform company, led by technologist and entrepreneur Jyoti Bansal (founder of AppDynamics, acquired by Cisco for $3.7B). Harness has raised approximately $570M in funding and is valued at $5.5B, backed by leading investors including Goldman Sachs, Menlo Ventures, IVP, Unusual Ventures, Citi Ventures, and more. As AI accelerates code creation, the real bottleneck has shifted to everything after the code – testing, deployments, application security, reliability, compliance, and cost optimization. Harness brings AI and automation to this “outer loop,” helping teams ship software faster while maintaining security and governance throughout the entire software delivery lifecycle.
Powered by Harness AI and the Software Delivery Knowledge Graph, the Harness Platform applies deep context and intelligent automation across the software delivery lifecycle with governance and policy-driven controls embedded throughout the platform.
Over the past year, Harness powered over 185M deployments, 82M builds, 18T flag evaluations, 8M security scans, 9.1B optimized tests, 3T protected API calls, and helped manage $2.8B in cloud spend — enabling customers like United Airlines, Morningstar, and Choice Hotels to accelerate releases by up to 75%, reduce cloud costs by up to 60%, and achieve 10x DevOps efficiency.
With a global team across 26 offices and 27 countries, Harness is shaping the future of AI software delivery — and we’re looking for exceptional talent to help us move even faster.
We're looking for someone who understands the software delivery problem at a technical level and can translate it into clear, compelling content for the audiences who care most about solving it — developers, engineering and security leaders, and the broader tech community following where enterprise software is headed.
This role sits at the intersection of technology, communication, and market narrative. You'll develop a deep understanding of what Harness is building and translate that — alongside what's happening across the industry — into content that earns attention from a technical audience.
Reporting to the VP of Corporate Marketing, this role will partner directly with the executive team at Harness and work cross-functionally with engineering, product management, and marketing to ensure Harness's point of view is grounded in what we're building
You'll develop content that represents Harness's point of view — substantive technical and industry commentary that reflects how practitioners actually think about software delivery, AI governance, security, developer productivity, and engineering ROI.
That means staying current on what's being published, debated, and shipped across the industry. Reading the Pragmatic Engineer, tracking what engineering leaders are saying, knowing when a DORA report or a VC thesis or a major industry announcement is something worth responding to. Then translating Harness's actual position into words quickly — before the conversation moves on.
Day to day, you'll monitor the news and developer conversation, identify what's worth engaging with, develop angles and post ideas, write and refine content across LinkedIn, X, and other external platforms, and iterate quickly based on feedback. You'll work closely with communications and marketing but operate with real ownership over the content calendar and the quality of what goes out.
This is not a traditional content role. The bar is high — no fluff, no generic takes, no posts that read like they came from a PR template. The audience is technical and they'll know the difference
- You have a technical foundation — engineering degree, CS background, or equivalent time spent working closely with engineering teams — and you've developed a strong instinct for communicating complex ideas clearly. You read widely across tech, not just in your lane. You have opinions about what's happening in software development and you can defend them.
- You write well. Not marketing well — actually well. Short, specific, direct. You know when a sentence is doing real work and when it's filler.
- You're comfortable going deep on a product to understand how it works, why it's built the way it is, and what problems it actually solves. You'd rather understand something thoroughly than approximate it.
- You move fast, take feedback without friction, and have good judgment about when something is ready versus when it needs another pass.
- A background in engineering combined with an MBA, or experience on the analytical or investment side of tech — VC, strategy, research — is the profile we have in mind. What matters most is the combination: technical fluency, sharp writing, and genuine curiosity about where enterprise software is going.

- Competitive salary
- Comprehensive healthcare benefits
- Flexible Spending Account (FSA)
- Flexible work schedule
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
