Senior Technical Consultant- RJ
The Senior Technical Consultant is ultimately responsible for leading large, complex, customer engagements, and ensuring the technical success of the Global Delivery Services.
With a requirement for the combination of coaching junior consultants, leading solution designs, troubleshooting, escalation management, and hands-on delivery. The Senior TC will also work closely with the project manager to ensure project status is communicated, a plan is in place, and progress is
being made to achieve project completion.
The role will apply advanced subject matter expertise to complex business issues; working on multifaceted problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors.
Within our delivery centers, the role expects a high degree of technical aptitude and attention to detail at all times. They’re expected to perform independently and carry out Storage, Compute, Data Protection, and other technical activities autonomously. They have a strong understanding of the
overall IT Infrastructure components, especially Storage, Compute & Data Protection technologies and have a deep knowledge of ITIL processes & services and can put them into practice as & where needed. They drive customer projects and can provide resolutions to escalated issues & problems.
They’re expected to mentor the junior staff and write detailed process documents, work-instructions, and run-books.
What you will bring
● Perform & lead innovative Delivery Services for Hitachi Vantara customers as defined in a Statement of Work
● Create detailed technical designs from high level solution designs, based on an analysis of the customer’s environment and requirements
● Take strategic decisions in consultation with Service Delivery Manager (SDM) / Project Manager (PM) based on the most relevant factors available that drive effectiveness and value to the customer
● Provide technical subject expertise to troubleshoot and identify operational, connectivity and network issues, providing rational business cases and arguments to persuade upwardly and with peers
● Assist with the creation of new innovative delivery collateral and maintenance of existing delivery collateral. Recommending improvements in order to increase efficiency, effectiveness and pioneering customer success
● Provide analysis and implementation support for SAN/NAS Storage solutions, initial implementation, and integration into the environment as required
● Provide input into the creation, establishment and maintenance of IT policies, procedures and practices using ITIL framework to efficiently manage the storage infrastructure
● Provide input to the Service Delivery Manager for the monthly governance meetings and reports with the customer and Hitachi.
● Coach and train technical consultants, whilst also providing guidance to local teams or 3rd party partners, building mutual support, and understanding with colleagues
● Supports the SDM & PM in strengthening the relationship with the customer
● Identify and provide suggested continuous improvement initiatives within the account
Qualifications
● A minimum of 5+ years technical consultancy and enterprise experience
● 7+ years technical IT related experience
● At least five years’ experience within Hitachi technologies, a similar competitor organization, end user or IT consultancy services provider
● A demonstrated problem solver, mentor, coach, and leader who can work independently, is well organized, and always pays close attention to detail
● A willingness to work a flexible schedule and to travel is a must for this role
● Demonstrate strong presentation skills on technical subjects
● Demonstrated ability to interact with customers at all levels
