The Senior Tech Support Specialist provides support, monitoring, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance for enterprise LAN/WAN and telecommunications infrastructure. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of network and telecom systems across the organization, including branch offices and data centers.
The successful candidate will install, maintain, patch, and monitor network equipment, respond to escalated connectivity issues, coordinate with vendors, and provide technical guidance to users and IT staff. The role requires independent problem-solving, sound judgment, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Working closely with network engineers, managers, vendors, and business stakeholders, the Network Services Administrator contributes to network availability, system security, infrastructure projects, acquisitions, and ongoing operational support.
Primary Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring the stability, security, and performance of LAN, WAN, VPN, and telecommunications services across multiple locations.
- Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for network-related incidents, identifying root causes and implementing timely resolutions to minimize business disruption.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain Cisco, Meraki, and related network technologies, ensuring infrastructure remains current, secure, and aligned with organizational standards.
- Manage network lifecycle activities, including hardware deployments, equipment replacements, software upgrades, patching, and configuration management.
- Perform and validate network backup and recovery processes, maintaining accurate configurations and documentation to support operational continuity and disaster recovery requirements.
- Serve as the primary technical liaison for network service providers and vendors, coordinating circuit installations, service activations, troubleshooting efforts, hardware replacements, and SLA performance management.
- Support network integration activities associated with new locations, office relocations, acquisitions, and infrastructure expansion projects, ensuring successful implementation and operational readiness.
- Monitor network health, utilization, and availability through proactive analysis of logs, alerts, and performance metrics, recommending improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including topology diagrams, inventory records, configuration standards, operational procedures, and change management activities.
- Champion network security by implementing and maintaining secure configurations, identifying potential vulnerabilities, and ensuring adherence to organizational security policies and best practices.
- Collaborate with infrastructure teams, business stakeholders, local agency personnel, and external partners to deliver network solutions that support business objectives and operational requirements.
- Communicate technical issues, recommendations, and project updates effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences, translating complex concepts into actionable business information.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to enhance network performance, scalability, automation, and operational efficiency.
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously, balancing day-to-day operational support, project responsibilities, documentation, and strategic initiatives.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned in support of departmental and organizational goals.

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience supporting and administering enterprise network infrastructure in a multi-site environment.
- 3+ years Demonstrated experience managing and troubleshooting LAN, WAN, VPN, and telecommunications technologies.
- 3+ years Hands-on experience with Cisco networking equipment, including configuration, deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- 3+ years Experience supporting network upgrades, system migrations, infrastructure implementations, and hardware lifecycle management.
- 3+ years Experience working with telecommunications providers, internet service providers, and technology vendors to resolve service and connectivity issues.
- 3+ years Experience maintaining network documentation, inventory records, and configuration standards.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- 3+ years knowledge of networking fundamentals, including routing, switching, VPN technologies, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and wireless networking.
- 3+ years Proficiency in installing, configuring, monitoring, and supporting network infrastructure within complex enterprise environments.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to travel as needed to support branch offices, infrastructure projects, and site implementations.
- Ability to lift and transport network equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work outside normal business hours, including evenings, weekends, and scheduled maintenance windows, as required to support business operations.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $24 to $43 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
