As As a Senior Tax Specialist, you’ll oversee the accurate preparation and review of monthly and annual tax returns, with a focus on Brazil’s tax framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and validate the documentation and returns prepared by external tax advisors, including Withholding Taxes, Turnover Taxes, VAT, and other indirect taxes in Brazil.
- Be part of the team handling tax audits and inquiries, coordinating with local tax authorities and external auditors, ensuring accurate and timely responses
- Providing guidance and support to internal stakeholders on complex tax matters.
- Assist in the reconciliation of tax-related accounts, ensuring all tax liabilities and credits are accurately recorded and reconciled.
- Monitor and review new tax laws and regulations in Brazil, ensuring the business adapts to new fiscal requirements
- Prepare necessary documentation for transfer pricing reporting and compliance, ensuring it aligns with local and international tax regulations.
- Prepare materials and documentation for yearly tax filings and support the tax audit process, ensuring full compliance with local tax laws.
- Bachelor’s degree in public accounting.
- A minimum of 2 years as a tax consultant, preferably with experience at a Big4 firm or within a multinational company.
- Strong understanding of Brazilian tax regulations, including income tax, CM05, and transfer pricing.
- Experience in the FinTech or payments industry is desirable
- Proficient in tax accounting and tax compliance processes.
- Strong understanding of direct and indirect taxes
- Advanced English level
