Key responsibilities
- Manages and holds responsibility for the operational product and investment taxation compliance and frameworks.
- Key stakeholder in the EOFY project leading a stream of work across tax componentry, corporate action reviews, annual statement and tax guide preparation and AIIR reporting and submission.
- Identifies and advises on tax issues and changes impacting the business, funds and products.
- Responsible for tax compliance including Super and Non Super level investment tax reporting and reconciliation to accounting income.
- Responsible for tax governance over 3rd party tax data.
- Key SME for FATCA, CRS and QI monitoring and reporting.
- The review and interpretation of corporate actions across our various platforms, including ensuring correct tax treatments are applied. This will involve working closely with the Corporate Actions team and at times may include providing training.
- Provide accurate and timely response for questions and queries raised by auditors, clients, tax advisors and internal stakeholders.
- Ad hoc project work to enhance and systematise current processes & procedures.
- Using initiative to resolve complex problems in conjunction with managers/experts.

- This position requires engaging and proactive interaction with internal stakeholders:
- General Manager, Custody Operations, General Manager, Non Custody Operations, Head of Group Finance, Head of Product, Platform and Technology, Head of Product Management, Platform, Operations Managers and Team Leaders, Operational and Support staff & Compliance and Risk Management.
Key requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.
- CA/CPA / CIMA qualified or equivalent
- A minimum of 10 years experience within a similar role
- Financial Services/ Funds Management/ Fund Services/ Platforms background.
- Thorough understanding of Superannuation Fund Taxation and Superannuation Fund Member Tax issues.
- Extensive knowledge of tax law, regulations & impact and obligations for investment and product structures.
- Advanced excel skills.
- Strong stakeholder communication and reporting skills.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise competing demands and achieve outcomes and objectives.
- Willingness to ‘roll up your sleeves’ and work autonomously but also as part of a collaborative team.
- Excellent problem solving skills
