Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide tax support and structural planning for the business’ international and U.S. transactions, while ensuring proper application of US and local tax principles, in a tax efficient manner
- Responsible for mergers and acquisitions and disposition transactions including structuring, documents review and tax due diligence with an eye to maximizing shareholder value
- Provide support and identify, analyze and assess tax risks and opportunities in deal models
- Responsible for all tax aspects in the transactional agreements, communications and other internal and external documents related to the tax planning for the business’ investments, restructuring and dispositions
- Work with other tax colleagues in GE Vernova on cross-business transactions and projects including supporting other GE Vernova businesses with related investment projects / opportunities
- Support treasury and finance teams on transfer pricing, withholding tax, and repatriation planning for international project investments
- Work with cross-functional teams within the business and GE Vernova to ensure appropriate financial and tax reporting including monitoring impact of evolving international tax frameworks (BEPS Pillar Two rules, OECD guidelines) on Financial Services investment structures
- Supervise engagements with external tax consultants and advisors, while working independently to drive initiatives and execution.
Required Qualifications
- JD or a CPA with at least 8 years of tax experience working at a multinational company and/or Big 4 accounting firm, predominantly focused in US corporate and international tax planning
- Experience in project finance, including structured transactions, financial statement analysis, financial modeling and valuation
- Experience with U.S. tax law, tax planning strategies; restructuring transactions and mergers and acquisitions; EU and OECD tax initiatives such as Pillar 2; US GILTI; subpart F; partnerships taxation; tax credits; reviewing Excel deal models; and researching and writing legal and tax memoranda
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment, including with outside advisors

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $172,900.00 and $288,100.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
