Position Overview

We are happy to share that we are hiring a Senior Domestic Income Tax Manager to join our Global Tax team!  This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional looking to expand their experience within a large, global organization. The role is primarily responsible for the quarterly and annual global tax provision, global effective tax rate analysis, and related financial reporting disclosures. This is a high-visibility leadership role requiring strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a complex global tax reporting process in a multinational environment.

The Global Tax team at Regal Rexnord has recently begun a journey to become more strategic as it supports Regal Rexnord’s growing global businesses.  As the leader of Regal Rexnord’s global tax provision function, the Senior Domestic Income Tax Manager will help to drive the team’s strategic initiatives focused on tax planning, business support, management of tax controversy and M&A activities.  To facilitate the Global Tax team’s shift in focus to higher value-added activities, the Senior Domestic Income Tax Manager will work closely with the tax team to identify and implement strategies that improve and automate the current compliance and tax provision processes. 

The environment at Regal Rexnord is fast-paced, challenging and dynamic, requiring someone that has a high degree of internal motivation and drive to make a direct impact on the company’s success.  While this role will focus on federal and state income tax topics applicable to Regal Rexnord’s fifty plus domestic legal entities, experience with typical U.S. international tax concepts applicable to U.S. multinationals such as FDII, BEAT and other non-U.S. aspects of within the U.S. federal tax return will be helpful.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation and review of the quarterly and annual global income tax provision
• Manage consolidation of worldwide tax results, including U.S. and foreign entities
• Ensure accuracy and validation of current and deferred tax calculations, as well as other areas of the global provision (UTP, VA, APB23, etc)
• Partner with FP&A and accounting to support earnings releases and financial reporting
• Review foreign tax packages and ensure consistency with U.S. GAAP requirements
• Collaborate with international tax to align provision impacts of global structuring
• Interpret and apply ASC 740 and other applicable accounting standards
• Ensure alignment between tax provision and income tax compliance outputs
• Monitor and implement impacts of tax law changes
• Manage requests from external auditors on income tax matters
• Assist with the preparation of income tax footnotes and disclosures for financial statements
• Enhance and streamline provision processes and timelines
• Strengthen internal controls over financial reporting related to income taxes
• Drive improvements in tax provision technology and data management
• Provide guidance and oversight to tax team members supporting the provision process
• Mentor and develop staff to strengthen technical and analytical capabilities
• Foster collaboration across tax, accounting, and finance teams

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 8+ years of experience in tax, including ASC 740 / tax provision experience
• Big four public accounting experience or Fortune 500 multinational company experience desired.  Experience in a complex manufacturing industry is desired but not required.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP income tax accounting and global tax reporting
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications, especially Microsoft Excel

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Masters in Tax is a plus
• CPA is a positive, but not required
• Proven ability to manage complex processes and meet tight deadlines
• Experience with tax provision software (e.g., OneSource Tax Provision, Corptax) is a plus
• Working knowledge of various reporting systems is preferred (i.e., Hyperion, OneStream)
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently
• High attention to detail and ownership mindset
• Proactive problem solver and innovative thinker
• Ability to lead cross-functional, global processes
