Senior Tax Manager Benelux

The Tax team is responsible for managing local tax affairs in cooperation with other key stakeholders, such as Accounting, Controlling, Treasury, Legal, FP&A, and our Shared Services in Romania and India. As a Tax Manager (d/f/m) you will be leading E2E tax initiatives for our Benelux  brands (Marktplaats, 2dehands, 2ememain). You will report directly to the CFO of our Benelux business with a dotted line relationship with the Global Head of Tax. This is a hybrid role, and our office is based in Amsterdam.

What you’ll do:

• Be the main point of contact in all Dutch and Belgian taxes, be accountable for any tax matter related to Benelux.

• Be responsible for all current and deferred taxes, tax risks of Dutch and Belgian affairs,  tax audits, and tax projects.

• Support monthly and quarterly closings, prepare the quarterly tax reporting packages and support the year end tax  provision calculation. 

• Review and approve Dutch and Belgian tax declarations and returns, currently prepared by our tax compliance partner. Oversee tax filing in due time, and ensure full compliance.

• Support the leadership in ad-hoc tax-related requests

• Provide tax accounting support in coordination with the local controlling department and external BPO.

• Manage  the relationship with local tax service providers

Who you are:

• You own a bachelor's or master’s degree in the areas of Finance, or similar

• You have gained at least 8 years of experience in an international global environment

• You are fluent in Dutch  and English

• You have gained strong local Dutch GAAP audit knowledge and you have worked with ERP software (SAP S4 HANA or similar)

• You can collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders at multiple levels and influence them

You are a current resident of the Netherlands and you are legally able to work here.
