The Impact you will have in this role:
As a member of the Tax team, the Senior Associate will support DTCC’s global income tax provision process. The role is responsible for contributing to monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting, with a focus on deferred tax accounting, effective tax rate analysis, and financial statement disclosures. The role partners closely with Controllership, FP&A, and external auditors to ensure accurate and timely reporting, while supporting a strong control environment.
Your Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end income tax provision calculations under ASC 740, including current and deferred tax components
- Support U.S. federal and state income tax compliance and related processes, including provision-to-return adjustments, state apportionment, and adjustments
- Analyze deferred tax assets and liabilities, including valuation allowance considerations
- Prepare effective tax rate (ETR) analysis and explain key drivers and variances to stakeholders
- Prepare and reconcile tax-related balance sheet accounts and roll-forwards as part of the close process
- Support FIN 48 / uncertain tax position analysis, including documentation and supporting schedules
- Assist in drafting income tax disclosures for financial statements and audit support materials
- As needed, work with others on responses to, and liaisons with, tax authorities on audits and other tax matters
- Work closely with the Global Tax Team, Financial Operations, Financial Reporting & Accounting to support the financial close and audit cycle
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance tax provision processes, controls, and automation

Aligns risk and control processes into day to day responsibilities to monitor and mitigate risk; escalates appropriately

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
- CPA or progress toward certification preferred
- Master’s in Taxation or Accounting is a plus

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Big 4 firm or multinational environment
- Strong experience in ASC 740 tax provision and financial reporting
- Experience with Oracle HFM and tax provision systems; Oracle TRCS is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a reporting-driven environment
- Effective communication skills to present tax results clearly to stakeholders
