We are seeking a Tax Senior Consultant to play a key role in supporting the Firm’s internal tax compliance, including both individual and business tax matters. This individual will be responsible for contributing to the preparation, review, and coordination of tax filings, while also identifying opportunities to enhance processes, improve accuracy, and drive efficiency. The role requires a strong technical foundation, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while collaborating across teams to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.

Your role.

Your work will include, but not be limited to:

  • Support tax compliance and planning for a diverse internal client base, including individuals, partnerships, and corporations
  • Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, as well as related workpapers and tax projections
  • Assist with indirect tax matters, including sales and use tax compliance, registrations, and ongoing filing requirements
  • Analyze financial data to identify tax planning opportunities, risk areas, and savings strategies
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to filing deadlines
  • Research and interpret complex tax issues—including international tax concepts (e.g., foreign reporting, international filings) and state/local tax implications—and translate findings into recommendations
  • Assist with tax notices, audits, and regulatory inquiries, including drafting responses and supporting documentation across federal, state, and indirect tax jurisdictions
  • Collaborate with internal teams to deliver integrated solutions to complex tax matters, including coordination on multi-state, international, and indirect tax issues

The qualifications.

  • 3+ years of recent experience in public accounting or related tax role, with exposure to both individual and business taxation preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • CPA preferred
  • Experience with a variety of tax return types (e.g., 1040, 1065, 1120)
  • Strong technical knowledge of federal and multi-state tax concepts
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical tax concepts into clear, client-friendly language

This is an exempt position, so you may have to work hours that exceed the standard 40-hour work week.

The compensation range reflects the base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this position across our offices in the following regions: CO, IL, OH, and MA. Please review the position description for the applicable geographic location. Generally, experienced hires are not hired at or near the maximum salary range, as compensation decisions take into account a wide variety of factors, including but not limited to: responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography. For early career roles, including campus hires, we offer standardized, market-based starting salaries among individuals within the same hiring group. This approach ensures fairness and reflects current industry benchmarks for entry-level talent.

The compensation range for this role in CO, IL, OH, and MA is: $78,5000.00-$100,000.00
