Summary

The Senior Tax Accountant position is primarily focused on income tax compliance and reporting, research and other special projects. The candidate should have a strong background in corporate federal and state income tax compliance.

What You'll Do

  • Ensures timely and accurate preparation and review of complex consolidated federal, state, and local income tax returns for corporate entities and consolidated groups.
  • Supports all aspects of the income tax provision process in accordance with IAS 12.
  • Ensures accuracy of tax account reconciliations and related analysis of tax account activity and balances.
  • Partners with team members to ensure accurate transfer pricing data to support intercompany pricing policies and required documentation.
  • Ensures timely and accurate responses to tax authorities by coordinating federal, state, and local income tax audits.
  • Ensures compliance and understanding of applicable tax laws and regulations by performing and documenting federal and state income tax research.
  • Ensures completion of all monthly, quarterly, and annual tax accounting and reporting deliverables within required deadlines.
  • Partners with Tax Management to develop, implement, and continuously improve and streamline tax processes and controls.
  • Assumes responsibility for additional duties as assigned to support overall tax function objectives.

What You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • CPA certification preferred, but not required.
  • 2-5 years experience in complex corporate income tax return preparation.
  • Experience using Thomson Reuters OneSource and J.D. Edwards preferred, advanced knowledge of Excel.
