Responsibilities:
- Handle all aspects of tax compliance reporting including preparing various reports, schedules, performing basic research, and assisting other staff members when needed
- Prepare S-Corporation and partnership tax returns
- Manage the preparation and remittance of all sales and use tax returns in a timely manner
- Provide direct support to the Tax Accountant
- Handle the following areas with assistance from accounting individuals:
- Exemption Certificate compliance
- Book to tax reconciliations/Schedule M adjustment tracking
- Rental fleet and fixed asset deprecation
- Microsoft D365 sales tax setup and configuration
- Support and resolve user tax tickets
- Microsoft D365 release testing
- LIFO reporting
- Assist in managing the retention of tax records, tax returns, and other documents
- Support the gathering of information required by the IRS and various state/local taxing authorities related to external audits
- Manage and coordinate external audits of federal and state taxes
- Participate in planning for quarterly income tax payments
- Identify and implement process improvement within the operational areas to ensure tax requirements are met
- Assist in advising companies on miscellaneous tax matters
- Assist with tax planning and income tax forecasting
- Maintain knowledge of changes related to GAAP and Tax, and communicate changes or implement changes as needed
- Manage daily workflow of the department as well as identify training opportunities
- Facilitate the completion of short- and long-term projects from start to finish
- Communicate effectively outside the department on projects and process changes
- Communicate ideas and concerns to management after conducting research and analysis
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- CPA accreditation preferred
- 8+ years related experience required
- Strong analytical/critical thinking skills
- Self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and CCH Axcess Tax
- Excellent communication skills

The pay range for this position is
$80,700.00 to $100,900.00Starting wage is dependent on skills, experience, education and location. Pay range may vary by 10% depending upon the applicant’s location. Along with competitive pay, full time positions are benefits eligible which includes:
