What You'll Do
- Tax Compliance & Regulatory Reporting
- Ensure full compliance with Philippine tax laws and regulations, including tax calculations, filings, and payments for VAT, withholding taxes, income tax, and other tax obligations.
- Handle official receipt issuance and related tax documentation requirements.
- Maintain proper documentation and work closely with external tax consultants on tax health checks, audits, and compliance reviews.
- Stay up to date with new tax regulations and proactively assess their impact on the company.
- Tax & Accounting Support
- Perform Book-to-Tax reconciliation, identifying temporary and permanent tax differences.
- Assist in month-end and year-end tax-related account reconciliations.
- Support the Accounting Manager in SEC and other government filings.
- Provide guidance on tax implications related to new business initiatives and product launches.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to optimize tax processes and reporting efficiency.
- Tax Process Optimization:
- Collaborate with the accounting team to streamline processes and improve tax reporting accuracy.
- Provide insights into best practices for tax compliance and risk mitigation.
- Cross-functional Collaboration & Special Projects:
- Work with external auditors and tax authorities as needed.
- Support ad hoc tax and finance-related projects assigned by the Accounting Manager.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required.
- At least 4 years of experience in PH tax compliance, including tax filings, reconciliations, and audits.
- Strong knowledge of Philippine tax laws, regulations, and processes.
- Experience in Book-to-Tax reconciliation and analyzing temporary and permanent tax differences.
- Proficiency in accounting systems (NetSuite preferred) and working with large financial datasets.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with a proactive and strategic approach to tax challenges.
- Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience supporting tax audits and handling tax assessments preferred
- Prior experience in working with multinational or tech-driven companies is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Google Suite applications
