We need someone adept with the Tanium platform to have a body pushing the efficiency and good usage of Tanium
Must be good communicators and to reach out to various teams
Advice for an incoming candidate: as soon as possible start familiarizing yourself with the various teams, there is an interesting structure and dispersion of workload that needs to be considered when holding this role
This person should be familiar or willing to learn Service Now and/or Palo Alto (in reference for an integration)
Ideal resume would have Tanium and Service Now experience as well as familiarity trouble shooting in architecture and infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
- Develop and maintain enterprise configuration baselines and compliance policies aligned with CIS Benchmarks, security standards, internal audit requirements, NERC CIP, SOX, and enterprise controls.
- Monitor and remediate configuration drift, automate compliance validation, produce audit evidence, and support regulatory reviews and compliance assessments.
- Partner with Cybersecurity teams to improve endpoint visibility, vulnerability remediation, incident response workflows, security tool integrations, threat mitigation, and endpoint hardening.
- Design integrations between Tanium, ServiceNow, security monitoring tools, and enterprise reporting platforms.
- Develop automated workflows supporting incident, change, configuration, compliance, and remediation processes.
- Create executive, operational, and compliance dashboards that show endpoint health, security posture, compliance status, exceptions, and remediation progress.
- Present metrics, risks, and recommendations to leadership, governance teams, Audit, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure Operations
Senior Tanium Developer JD:
On a day to day this role could encompass pushing initiatives for various teams to leverage Tanium better and improve processes, including writing custom content, scripts (Utility Scripting (PowerShell/Python)), cross referencing multiple tools to identify gaps with the end goal to close empty space.. There needs to be upkeep on the platform and training the admin to use the tool. Also identify what is and is not working with Tanium and other tools.
This person will need to be fully saturated in Tanium, start to end point.
Skills Required
- 7–10 years of experience in a security-related background
- Extensive hands-on experience with the Tanium platform, including end-to-end endpoint management and administration
- Experience in security operations, security architecture, and systems administration
- Ability to develop Tanium custom content and utility scripts using PowerShell or Python
- Experience developing and maintaining configuration baselines and compliance policies aligned with CIS Benchmarks, security standards, internal controls, NERC CIP, and SOX
