Senior Talent & Culture Business PartnerWe’re looking for an experienced Talent & Culture professional who understands the connection between people, operations, and performance and stays curious about the business.

As our Senior Talent & Culture Business Partner, you'll work closely with the Executive Director and community leadership team to understand the operation, anticipate workforce challenges, and bring the people perspective to important business decisions. You’ll also lead and develop a Talent & Culture Business Partner who supports the community.

We’re looking for someone who is curious, relationship-driven, and eager to learn what makes the community successful. You recognize patterns, look beyond the immediate issue, and have the confidence to ask thoughtful questions and respectfully challenge thinking when needed.

Compensation: $90,000–$120,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications, plus eligibility for an annual incentive based on organizational performance.

This is an on-site position at The Village at Rockville, where being present and connected to our team and community is an important part of the work. Occasional remote work flexibility may be considered when appropriate.

What You'll Do
  • Build a strong partnership with the Executive Director and senior leaders, developing a deep understanding of the operation, priorities, workforce challenges, and teams.
  • Coach and advise leaders on talent, performance, employee relations, staffing needs, engagement, retention, leadership effectiveness, and navigating change.
  • Use workforce data and what you're seeing and hearing across the community to identify trends, risks, root causes, and opportunities and turn those insights into action.
  • Lead complex employee relations matters and investigations with objectivity and an understanding of organizational risk.
  • Partner with leaders on succession planning, talent reviews, recruiting priorities, and building leadership and workforce capability.
  • Provide thoughtful guidance, perspective, and coaching to help leaders confidently navigate people decisions and lead their teams.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the community Talent & Culture Business Partner while supporting consistent T&C practices across NLCS.
You'll Thrive in This Role If:
  • You bring strong HR knowledge and business curiosity and know how to connect people, talent, and workforce needs to community priorities.
  • You build credibility by understanding the business and the people in it. You're comfortable partnering with an Executive Director and equally comfortable spending time throughout the community staying connected to what's happening.
  • You listen, diagnose, look for patterns, and help leaders get to the underlying issue.
  • You’re approachable and relationship-driven, objective enough to see multiple perspectives, and confident enough to offer a different perspective when it matters.
  • You strengthen leadership by asking thoughtful questions, providing guidance, and helping leaders navigate people challenges and opportunities.
Your Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
  • 7+ years of progressively responsible HR experience, including demonstrated success as an HR business partner, HR leader, or senior generalist advising operational leaders.
  • PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
  • Strong employee relations, investigation, coaching, talent management, and staffing and talent planning capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience advising and influencing senior leaders.
  • Strong business acumen and curiosity about how operations, leadership, workforce dynamics, and organizational performance connect.
  • Ability to use workforce data and organizational insight to identify root causes and recommend practical actions.
  • Sound independent judgment, including knowing when to act, when to challenge, and when an issue requires escalation.
  • Experience in senior living, healthcare, hospitality, or another complex, multi-shift service environment is a plus.
  • Comfort with HR technology, workforce analytics, and evolving AI-enabled tools.
  • Ability to read and speak English.

If you’re looking for a role where relationships, curiosity, influence, and business understanding are central to how you work, you’ll find a collaborative culture, a strong Talent & Culture team, and an opportunity to make a meaningful impact.
