We are seeking an experienced Senior Financial Systems Specialist to support our Finance Systems team with systems administration, budget management & analysis, and project oversight. The ideal candidate brings a strong technical foundation and business acumen, and thrives in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment. This individual will play a key role in ensuring the reliability of our Finance systems, optimizing operational spending, and driving the successful delivery of technology initiatives across the organization.


Responsibilities:

  • Finance Systems Administration

    • Oversee the administration, configuration, and maintenance of our Finance systems, infrastructure, and business applications (tools NetSuite, Coupa, Boomi, and related integrations). 

    • Manage user access, permissions, onboarding/offboarding, and license management across platforms.

    • Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and disruption.

    • Maintain system documentation and standard operating procedures.

    • Evaluate and recommend new technologies, tools, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

  • Budget Management & Analysis

    • Support the development, tracking, and reconciliation of IT capital (CapEx) and operating (OpEx) budgets.

    • Partner with Finance and FP&A teams to ensure accurate cost forecasting, variance analysis, and budget reporting.

    • Analyze spending trends and provide data-driven recommendations to optimize resource allocation.

    • Assist in the preparation of budget proposals, business cases, and financial presentations for IT leadership review.

    • Monitor vendor contracts, renewals, and expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.

  • Project Management

    • Lead and support the planning, execution, and delivery of projects from initiation through completion.

    • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, risk registers, and status reports.

    • Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders, vendors, and team members to ensure project milestones are met on time and within scope.

    • Facilitate project meetings, document action items, and communicate progress to leadership and relevant departments.

    • Apply project management best practices and frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid) as appropriate to each initiative


Requirements:

  • Must have experience as a systems admin for NetSuite
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in finance systems administration, IT operations, or a related role.

  • Demonstrated experience supporting IT budgets, financial reporting, and analysis.

  • Proven track record of managing technology projects across multiple teams and stakeholders.

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline.

  • Project Management certification (PMP, CAPM, or equivalent).

  • Experience working in a nonprofit, education, or multi-entity organizational environment.

  • Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management. 


Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience. This position is not bonus eligible.

Compensation Range
$130,000$150,000 USD
