Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Systems operations Engineer
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in managing all installed systems and infrastructure within the Systems Operations functional area
- Contribute in increasing system efficiencies and lowering the human intervention time on related tasks
- Review and analyze moderately complex operational support systems, application software, and system management tools to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- Work with vendors and other technical personnel for problem resolution
- Lead team to meet technical deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of technical process controls or standards
- Collaborate with vendors and other technical personnel to resolve technical issues and achieve highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
- 4+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Strong experience in Oracle Essbase support Engineer
- Hands-on Autosys job scheduling
- Proficiency in Oracle DB and SQL
- Good knowledge of Unix/Linux and Windows environments
- Experience in Python or Shell scripting
- Familiarity with ITSM/ITIL processes
- Hyperion Planning / HFM / FCCS exposure
- Cloud basics (Azure/AWS/OCI)
- Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
- Finance domain knowledge (Liquidity, Accounting, FP&A)
- Provide L2/L3 production support for Oracle Essbase-based finance applications
- Ensure stability, performance, and availability of critical financial systems
- Drive automation, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement
- Support Oracle Essbase (BSO/ASO cubes, Planning, Reporting)
- Troubleshoot calc script failures, data load issues, and cube performance
- Perform metadata updates, outline changes, and data validation
- Monitor aggregations, partitions, and optimize performance
- Manage incidents and service requests via ITSM tools (ServiceNow/Remedy)
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes
- Ensure SLA adherence and production stability
- Provide support during month-end/quarter-end cycles
- Monitor Autosys jobs and batch processing pipelines
- Troubleshoot job failures and dependency issues
- Create and maintain job schedules and workflows
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation and analysis
- Support backend Oracle database operations
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies and upstream/downstream issues
- Manage application environments on Unix/Linux and Windows
