The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with deep expertise in Microsoft technologies, Azure cloud services, and enterprise migrations. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing complex infrastructure environments across Azure, Microsoft 365, Exchange, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, VMware, Citrix, and related technologies. The ideal candidate will lead migration and upgrade projects, ensure security compliance, and deliver scalable solutions aligned with ECI’s standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Azure Cloud Management
- Provision and manage Azure VMs, networking, and storage.
- Configure Azure AD, RBAC, App Registrations, and Key Vault.
- Implement ARM templates and Bicep for Infrastructure as Code.
- Monitor and troubleshoot using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.
- Ensure security via Azure Security Center and compliance best practices.
- Microsoft 365 & Exchange
- Administer Exchange Online and on-prem Exchange (DAG, server roles).
- Configure Hybrid Exchange, mail flow, connectors, transport rules.
- Manage M365 Admin Center, retention policies, and compliance.
- Implement SPF, DKIM, DMARC and email security solutions (ProofPoint, Mimecast).
- Perform migration and upgrades for Exchange and M365 services.
- Collaboration & Productivity Tools
- Manage SharePoint Online, OneDrive, and Teams (including migrations).
- Configure permissions, workflows, and Power Automate integrations.
- Ensure security and compliance across collaboration platforms.
- Endpoint Management
- Administer Intune for device enrollment, compliance, and app protection.
- Configure Autopilot for device provisioning and hybrid join.
- Implement Conditional Access and certificate management.
- Virtualization & Desktop Solutions
- Manage Cloud PC (Windows 365) provisioning and integration with Intune.
- Configure and support Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).
- Knowledge on Citrix Desktop Virtualization.
- Windows Server & Infrastructure
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and clustering.
- Implement DFS (Distributed File System) for file replication and namespace management.
- Configure Hyper-V, IIS, NPS, and certificate management.
- Automate tasks using PowerShell scripting.
- Ensure high availability and performance monitoring.
- Security & Compliance
- Implement Data Loss Prevention, threat management, and audit logging.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance across all platforms.
- Migration Expertise
- Lead on-prem to cloud migrations, tenant-to-tenant migrations, and upgrades across all Microsoft workloads and virtualization platforms.
- Possess basic Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8 - 12 years in IT infrastructure.
- Hands-on experience in:
- Azure services (VMs, networking, storage, RBAC, security).
- Exchange Online & On-Prem, M365, Intune, AutoPilot.
- SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive administration and migration.
- DFS implementation and management.
- VMware & Citrix environments.
- Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
- Expertise in security and compliance for Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Proven track record in large-scale migration projects.
- Understanding and execution of ITIL framework (Especially; Problem, Change Management, RCA and RFC process and procedures)
- Should be well versed in communication (English, Written and Oral) and be able to co-ordinate efficiently with onsite sub-ordinates and direct in-line managers
- Provide excellent customer service to internal IT customers and application owners and users.
- Remain vigilant while continuing to maintain and enhance the overall security of Alphaserve and the client’s receiving our services.
- Maintain awareness about the potential risks based on the environment they are operating in and the clients they are working on
Working Conditions
- Ability to work in an independent environment with moderate supervision
