Senior Systems Escalation Engineer - Citrix

The Opportunity: 

ECI has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Systems Escalation Engineer - Citrix with advanced expertise in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD), Citrix XenDesktop, NetScaler, VMware, and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). The ideal candidate will design, implement, and manage enterprise desktop virtualization solutions, lead migration and upgrade projects, and ensure high availability, security, and compliance. Strong experience with FSLogix, Citrix Profile Management, Windows Server infrastructure, and a solid understanding of Office 365 technologies is required.

This is an onsite role in Bangalore.

Schedule Monday through Friday 8AM EST to 5PM EST.

What you will do:

Citrix Desktop Virtualization - 

• Manage and monitor Citrix environments using Citrix Studio/Director
• Organize and deliver virtual desktops via Machine Catalogs and Delivery Groups
• Define and enforce Citrix Policies for user experience and security
• Configure and manage StoreFront for access to virtual desktops and apps
• Administer Citrix Profile Management and FSLogix for user profiles
• Deliver virtual apps and desktops using CVAD
• Oversee Citrix Licensing and ensure compliance
• Lead migration and upgrade projects for Citrix environments

NetScaler Administration - 

• Configure Load Balancing and GSLB to distribute traffic across servers
• Manage SSL Offloading for encryption and decryption
• Define and implement Authentication Policies
• Set up Content Switching to route traffic based on content
• Administer Gateway for Citrix/VPN to provide secure remote access
• Create and manage Rewrite/Responder Policies to modify and respond to traffic
• Lead migration and upgrade projects for NetScaler environments
• Collect logs and troubleshoot issues for optimal performance and security

Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) & Azure Cloud - 

• Provision and manage AVD resources via Azure Portal.
• Create and manage host pools, application groups, and user assignments.
• Deploy, scale, and troubleshoot session hosts.
• Configure and manage FSLogix profiles for AVD users.
• Implement security controls and compliance policies.
• Lead migration and upgrade projects for AVD environments.
• Manage Azure VMs, networking, storage, and RBAC as needed for desktop virtualization.

VMware Virtualization - 

• Manage VMware vSphere & ESXi environments.
• Administer vCenter Server, VM provisioning, templates, vMotion, DRS, HA, vSAN, and storage policies.
• Configure VMware networking (vDS, NSX), snapshots, and cloning.
• Monitor and analyze logs, perform upgrades, and lead migration projects.

Windows Server & Infrastructure - 

• Manage Active Directory (AD DS), DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and clustering.
• Implement and manage DFS (Distributed File System) for file replication and namespace management.
• Configure and support Hyper-V, IIS, NPS, and certificate management.
• Automate tasks using PowerShell scripting.
• Monitor system performance and ensure high availability.

Office 365 & Collaboration - 

• Demonstrate working knowledge of Office 365 technologies (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive).
• Support integration of Citrix environments with Office 365 applications.

Security & Compliance - 

• Implement data loss prevention, threat management, and audit logging.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance across all platforms.

Migration Expertise - 

Lead on-prem to cloud migrations, upgrades, and tenant-to-tenant migrations for Citrix, NetScaler, VMware, Azure, and desktop virtualization platforms.

 Who you are:

• 8-12 years in IT infrastructure, with 5+ years focused on Citrix desktop virtualization and NetScaler.
• Hands-on experience with:
• Citrix XenDesktop, CVAD, Citrix Studio/Director, StoreFront, Profile Management.
• FSLogix profile containers.
• NetScaler (Load Balancing, GSLB, SSL Offloading, Authentication, Content Switching, Gateway, Rewrite/Responder Policies).
• Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Azure cloud services.
• VMware vSphere, ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, DRS, HA.
• Windows Server (AD DS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, DFS, Hyper-V).
• PowerShell scripting and automation.
• Proven track record in large-scale migration projects.
• Working knowledge of Office 365 technologies.

• Understanding and execution of ITIL framework (Especially; Problem, Change Management, RCA and RFC process and procedures).
• Should be well versed in communication (English, Written and Oral) and be able to co-ordinate efficiently with onsite sub-ordinates and direct in-line managers.
• Provide excellent customer service to internal IT customers and application owners and users.
• Remain vigilant while continuing to maintain and enhance the overall security of Alphaserve and the client’s receiving our services.
• Maintain awareness about the potential risks based on the environment they are operating in and the clients they are working on.

• ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
• Citrix Certified Professional (CCP-V or CCP-N) or equivalent certifications.
