Leidos is seeking a senior level Systems Engineer in support of NASA’s National Security Systems team. This role is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization. Additional responsibilities include providing quick reaction support to the Operations team and the NASA customer to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system problems.

Primary Responsibilities:

Develop network architecture and system infrastructure.

Monitor systems to ensure they're working properly and troubleshoot issues.

Provide hardware design, maintenance, and support, including preventative and remedial measures.

Develop and review technical documentation, such as white papers, presentation materials, and change management documentation.

Communicate with stakeholders across program offices, and industry stakeholders.

Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, availability, and efficient operation of the in- house information systems that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating systems.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidates should have command of the following skillsets:

VMware, VMware Horizon, and general VDI technology

Active Directory, Group Policy management, WSUS, DHCP, DNS, file server clustering, DFS, SQL server, Windows certificate authority and Windows Enterprise services

On prem Exchange and all Office applications

Security device architecture, engineering, and installation/management
-
Enterprise Trellix technology
-
Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates possess a deep understanding of the following areas:

Windows and Linux Operating systems, databases, and networking concepts

Knowledge of Splunk
-
Knowledge of Cisco Unified Communications
-
Knowledge of NSA type 1 encryption devices

Scripting language such as Python and ability to write scripts for automation and data mining purposes
Education:

Bachelor with 8 years of experience

Years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree

Pay Range:Pay Range $87,100.00 - $157,450.00
