The purpose of this role is to provide enterprise-class, server and storage infrastructure technical support services.
ResponsibilitiesHands-on management of enterprise-class server, storage and cloud infrastructure
Configure, upgrade, install and manage server and storage diagnostic, configuration and management tools
Perform capacity management and planning to ensure scalability and availability of the server, storage and cloud environment
Troubleshoot and resolve software, hardware, configuration and operational problems across the enterprise environment
Maintain servers and storage area networks through practical and structured maintenance plans
Manage and report on new implementations, lifecycle management, patch management, optimisation and service improvement initiatives
Administer, manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) including identity governance, conditional access, RBAC and SSO configurations
Manage, troubleshoot and optimise Microsoft Intune including device enrolment, compliance policies, configuration profiles and application deployments
Administer and support the Microsoft 365 suite including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and licensing management
Investigate and resolve escalated issues related to Entra ID, Intune and Microsoft 365 services
Work with vendor technical support to facilitate the analysis and resolution of complex technical issues
Participate in the design and engineering of a secure server, storage and modern workplace environment and delivery of IT projects
Lead and mentor junior team members and Systems Administrators in day-to-day technical operations
Follow and enforce established change management processes in alignment with ITIL best practices
Ensure systems administration tasks and documentation are kept up to date in compliance with operational standards and governance requirements
Participate in business continuity and disaster recovery infrastructure planning, building and testing
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across infrastructure, endpoint management and operational processes
Relevant IT Bachelor’s Degree, Diploma or Complete Microsoft Certifications (MCSE/MCITP)
Storage Certification (Advantage)
A minimum of 5 years in a technical role (design, implementation and maintenance of servers and storage).
Expect knowledge of hardware platforms, converged infrastructure, networking, SAN, NAS and subsystems.
Strong knowledge of enterprise and mid-range storage, file system, cloud and virtualisation technologies.
Experience in installation, upgrade, patching of server hardware and platform software.
Experience in backup, recovery design, DR implementation, monitoring implementation, troubleshooting, performance tuning and optimization.
Hands-on experience administering Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) including identity governance, conditional access, RBAC and SSO
Skills Required
- Relevant IT Bachelor's Degree, Diploma or Microsoft Certifications (MCSE/MCITP)
- Storage certification
