Job Summary
Job Description
This position is within the Plant Support Engineering organization at Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant. Key functions include ownership and resolution of station equipment reliability issues, the completion of various technical evaluations (barrier impairment, system breach evaluations, thermal insulation evals, past operability, 10CFR 50.59 screens, equipment failure investigations, Maintenance Rule reviews, design changes, etc.), and providing technical support and recommendations to maintenance and operations through emergent plant issues. Frequently works independently to identify and perform tasks as required to meet Vistra objectives. Supports the gathering and analysis of information necessary for Vistra initiatives or to solve complex problems. The position will develop and maintain effective working relationships with others including external to the company.
Key Accountabilities:
- Identifies and performs task as required to meet objectives
- Lead interpretation and analysis of complex issues
- Coordinates assigned projects, studies and initiatives through completion
- Comply with safety policy and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
- Prepare and present reports including recommendations to resolve complex issues
- Participate in and on occasion lead special project and committees including external organizations
- Lead complex problem-solving efforts
Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:
- 4 yrs. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical Engineering preferred) from an accredited program.
- Minimum 6 yrs. relevant job experience
