About the Role
Fortinet is seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect to support Enterprise customers with advanced security design, architecture validation, and strategic technical leadership. This role requires extensive experience, deep cybersecurity expertise, and the ability to guide large enterprises through complex digital and security transformations.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Pre-Sales Support
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for Enterprise accounts throughout the sales lifecycle.
- Conduct comprehensive discovery sessions to understand customer security posture, business challenges, and operational environments.
- Design robust, scalable architectures leveraging the Fortinet Security Fabric (Gateway Security, ZTNA, IAM, SecOPS, SASE, OT Security and Cloud Security).
- Lead POCs, technical workshops, and solution validation sessions with clear evaluation frameworks.
- Create high-quality Solutioning documentation, solution blueprints, and enterprise-grade architecture diagrams.
Customer Engagement & Enablement
- Build trusted-advisor relationships with senior stakeholders including CIOs, CISOs, architects, and enterprise technical teams.
- Deliver strategic presentations, security roadmap discussions, and architecture assessments.
- Provide technical guidance during solution rollout, integration, and migration phases.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Collaborate with Sales, Pre-sales team and SME teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
- Contribute to RFP/RFI responses, solution scoping, and detailed BOQ creation.
- Share structured feedback to Product Management on customer needs, competitive landscape, and field insights.
Thought Leadership
- Stay ahead of emerging cyber threats, architectural patterns, and enterprise security trends.
- Represent Fortinet at customer events, partner engagements, webinars, and industry forums.
- Mentor junior SEs and partners on Fortinet architectures and deployment best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or equivalent professional experience.
- 12–15 years of hands-on experience in cybersecurity, enterprise network engineering, or pre-sales architecture roles.
- Deep and demonstrable expertise in cybersecurity, including:
- Threat landscapes, MITRE ATT&CK, zero trust principles
- Secure network design and segmentation
- Advanced firewalling, IPS, sandboxing, and threat detection
- Secure access architecture (ZTNA, VPN, identity-centric access)
- Cloud security controls across AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Endpoint protection, SOC operations, SIEM/SOAR frameworks
- Extensive experience designing and delivering security solutions for large, distributed, or mission-critical enterprise environments.
- Strong ability to run POCs, troubleshoot complex security issues, and articulate technical findings to senior executives.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as NSE 6-8 , CCIE Security, CISSP, CISM, CEH, AWS/Azure Architect.
- Prior experience supporting major Enterprise or Global System Integrator accounts.
- Knowledge of OT/ICS security, industrial protocols, and critical infrastructure architectures.
- Strong technical writing and diagramming abilities (Visio, Lucidchart, Draw.io).
