The Role
Asset Management Technology (AMT) provides worldwide technology and support to all the Investment Management, Research, Trading and Investment Operations functions. We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Analyst to join our Investment Risk Technology team. This role is central to building and evolving our Portfolio Risk and Analytics platform, which powers risk insights across multi-asset portfolios.
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed functional and technical specifications for the Portfolio Risk and Analytics platform.
- Collaborate with product management, development teams, and risk managers to gather, document, and validate system requirements and use cases.
- Design and document system workflows, data flows, and integration points across the risk platform ecosystem.
- Conduct gap analysis between current and desired system states and recommend solutions aligned with best practices.
- Perform business and user acceptance testing to validate that delivered solutions meet requirements and specifications.
- Conduct post-production validation and monitoring to ensure system stability and performance.
- Analyze system performance metrics and work with technical teams to optimize APIs and ensure they meet SLAs.
- Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams, ensuring clear communication of requirements and priorities.
- Ensure system reliability, transparency, and auditability across the risk platform through proper documentation and controls.
- Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design reviews, and sprint planning meetings.
- Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including requirements specifications, process flows, and user guides.
- Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis for system issues in collaboration with developers and business users.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring:
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Familiarity with financial instruments and risk concepts such as VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis, and portfolio analytics.
- Prior experience in investment risk, portfolio analytics, or financial modeling.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in requirements gathering, business process analysis, and system design.
- Strong proficiency in Python for data analysis and process automation.
- Familiarity with project management and requirements tracking tools such as Jira or similar platforms.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or Product Owner is a plus.
- CFA, FRM, or similar designation, or willingness to work towards one, is a plus.
Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
