The Role

As a Systems Analyst on the FIA Data Analytics Platform Team within the Core Wealth Platform Product Area, you will support multiple initiatives aimed at growing our core business and scaling our technology. In this role, you will focus on the data analytics & reporting platform health and modernization efforts of the applications and systems supporting the Fidelity Insurance Agency (FIA). Specifically, you will drive initiatives supporting the data strategy for FIA.

The Expertise You Have:

  • 5+ years professional experience as a Systems Analyst for software solutions

  • Proven experience researching, optimizing, developing and authoring solution requirements, user stories, and specifications for moderate to complex software systems

  • Proven experience with Structured Query Language (SQL) and programming in general

  • Strong understanding and experience with complex relational database schemas and SQL management tools

  • Understanding of data modeling concepts, ETL/ELT tools.

  • Exposure to BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc)

  • Familiarity with data governance principles, Snowflake architecture

  • Familiarity with life insurance products, such as annuities, a plus 

  • Proven experience with Agile development methodologies

  • Deep knowledge of scrum tools – Jira experience desirable

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Release coordination

  • Be able to articulate complex system interactions through diagrams and crisp documentation to a wide spectrum of audiences

  • Ability to understand the technical aspects of the software, data flow, including understanding of code to be able to understand the business logic, understand technical architecture

  • Produce artifacts – business flow diagrams

  • Have good understanding of solution architecture and partner with Architects, Business Analysts and tech leads

  • Have end to end knowledge of system interactions and be able to articulate well to different audiences both technical and non-technical

  • Prod incidents analysis – Splunk queries, build dashboards/alerts

  • Bachelor’s Degree Computer Science or related technology discipline.

The Team

You will be a member of the Core Wealth Platform Area. Your primary focus will be supporting the data analytics and reporting platform health, growth, scale and modernization efforts of the platform, application and systems supporting the Fidelity Insurance Agency (FIA). In this role you will partner with a variety of key stakeholders including other squads withing the Platform Area, Wealth Digital Experience, FIA, and Brokerage partners.
