Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Analyst (Level 3 Support / Developer) with deep expertise in .NET environments to join our Digital Support organization. This role is responsible for owning the analysis, stability, performance, and continuous improvement of complex applications and supporting systems. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, a solid development background, and the ability to bridge technical depth with business impact.

In this role, the Senior Systems Analyst will act as a technical escalation point, diagnosing and resolving complex system issues, leading root cause analysis, and proactively identifying opportunities to improve system reliability and user experience. The position requires close collaboration with development, infrastructure, DevOps, and business teams to ensure solutions are sustainable, well‑designed, and aligned with enterprise standards.

The Senior Systems Analyst will also participate in rotational or as‑needed off‑hours support to ensure system availability and timely resolution of critical incidents. They will contribute to solution design, change management, and operational readiness, producing technical documentation and guiding best practices. By staying informed on emerging technologies and industry trends, the analyst will help modernize our digital platforms and drive measurable improvements in customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a Level 3 technical expert for .NET‑based applications, providing advanced troubleshooting and support.
  • Participate in off‑hours, weekend, or on‑call support rotations as required to support critical systems and incident response.
  • Perform root cause analysis for complex production issues and implement long‑term corrective actions.
  • Analyze system behavior, logs, and performance metrics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
  • Partner with development and product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Design and implement system enhancements and fixes to improve stability, performance, and maintainability.
  • Guide and support Change Management activities, ensuring effective release planning and production readiness.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system flows, impact analyses, and support runbooks.
  • Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and operational support processes.
  • Act as a technical mentor and escalation resource for junior analysts and support team members.
  • Promote continuous improvement through automation, modernization, and adoption of best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of professional IT experience, with significant experience supporting and developing within a .NET environment.
  • 5+ years strong hands‑on experience with .NET Framework, ASP.NET, C#, and related technologies.
  • 5+ years solid experience with SQL Server or comparable database platforms.
  • 5+ years demonstrated ability developing PL/SQL or complex SQL queries for analysis and troubleshooting.
  • 5+ years proven success debugging and supporting multi‑tier enterprise applications.
  • 4+ years' experience with REST/SOAP web services and API integrations.
  • 3+ years familiarity with application monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Splunk, AppDynamics).
  • 3+ years' experience using version control systems (Git, TFS).
  • 2+ years working knowledge of ServiceNow or similar ITSM platforms.
  • 2+ years familiarity with DevOps pipelines and tooling (e.g., Octopus Deploy, TeamCity).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Health insurance or regulated industry experience.
  • Experience leveraging AI‑assisted tools or automation in analysis, support, or development workflows.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS acceptable).
  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
  • ITIL certification or practical experience with IT service management frameworks.
  • Prior experience acting as a system owner, technical lead, or escalation authority.

Education

Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, specialized training, and relevant professional experience.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$83,430.00 - $222,480.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
