Role Overview:
The Senior Systems Administrator is responsible for the upkeep, configuration and reliable operation of ICT systems, particularly multi-user networked environments including servers. This role ensures optimal uptime, performance, resource availability and cybersecurity compliance to meet organisational and industry needs.
The Senior Systems Admin will also provide onsite technical leadership and responsible for daily task allocation across the technical team, ensuring alignment with operational priorities and systems requirements.

Minimum Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Microsoft and Linux operating systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology
Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator
Proven experience as a Systems Administrator
Ability to work onsite, 5 days a week at HMAS Watson
Already holding and ability to maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance - must be an AU Citizen!
Preferred Qualifications
Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent
Proven experience as a people manager/leader
