Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Systems Administrator Senior to join our team! For this position the work is remote but a onetime trip to Clarksburg WV customer site is required for processing with the customer.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Configures and manages Linux-based servers to serve a dynamic website.
- Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems. System administrator will ensure the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers they manage meet the needs of the users.
- Uses scripting or basic programming skills to solve problems.
- Installs and configures Linux systems including back-end databases and scripts.
- Performs systems maintenance by reviewing error logs.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of related experience. A Bachelor’s degree in IT related field may be substituted for 4 years of experience.
- Experience in Linux environments.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues with Linux systems.
- Experienced with large enterprise scale Linux systems.
- Ability to perform Security checks.
- Ability to solve a range of problems independently.
Clearance Requirements:
- Applicants must have an active Secret clearance.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Often positions self to maintain computers in the lab, including under the desks and in the server closet.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
The projected compensation range for this position is $100,800-$168,700. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories. In addition, ManTech invests in it’s employees beyond just compensation.
