What You'll Be Doing:• Ownership of various systems engineering projects related to Windows and RHEL systems infrastructure• Architect, build, and troubleshoot Windows and Linux systems for production and test platforms• Recommend, design, and roll out cloud and physical network, storage, and system improvements to ensure redundancy, high availability, and security• Perform automation of routine tasks to increase systems efficiency and reduce human intervention• Manage systems and network security to meet best practices and allow appropriate access without adding additional risk• Capacity planning and management• Design and maintain backup and redundancy strategies• Develop and update documentation of network and systems architecture• Cross-train infrastructure team members in areas of expertise• Work with systems and infrastructure manager and team to develop and implement infrastructure policies and procedures• Responsible for internal communication of critical systems information• Develop, maintain, and document Windows and Linux infrastructure installation and configuration procedures• Manage NetReo, New Relic, and Splunk On-Call monitoring and alerting systems and other internal management tools
What We're Looking For:• Great work ethic and teamwork skills• Passion for continual improvement• Knowledge and experience implementing and supporting resources in public cloud environments (preferably Azure)• 5 - 8 years of Windows Systems Administration/Engineering experience in an enterprise environment• 3 - 5 years of Linux Systems Administration/Engineering experience in an enterprise environment• Sharp analytic and troubleshooting abilities• Proven Windows and Linux systems architecture and design skills• Experience working with production multi-tier applications in highly available environments• Knowledge and understanding of systems and network security engineering and best practice• Experience with common networking protocols and services, including DNS, SFTP, HTTP, RDP, SNMP, SSH• Understanding of load balancer (Azure Load Balancer, HAProxy) and firewall (Azure NSG, Firewalld, IPTables) configurations• Knowledge of database systems infrastructure support and basic database systems support• Experience patching, upgrading servers, monitoring, and maintenance• Shell scripting using standard shell scripting technologies such as Bash, C Shell, Korn, Perl, PowerShell• Automation experience using Ansible, Ansible Tower / AWX, Packer, and Terraform.
Preferred Skills• Understanding of cloud, IaaS, and PaaS architecture and best practices, particularly in Azure.• Experience with cloud provisioning methodologies and Azure CLI, Packer, and Terraform.• Experience with containers and orchestration (Azure Kubernetes Service).• Experience with CI/CD tools (such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, and Team City), preferably Azure DevOps.• Experience with Apache HTTPD, HAProxy, Nginx, PHP-FPM, Solr• Familiarity with New Relic, VictorOps, Sumologic, Akamai
Work Arrangement: • Fully Remote: Must be able to travel to an Arrow office location as requested by Arrow leadership.
