Position Summary
Nationwide IT Services, NIS, seeks a  Senior Systems Administrator to ensure stable operation of computer software systems and network connections. This fully remote role plans, installs, configures, maintains, supports, and optimizes network software and communication links; resolves user software and connectivity issues; and supports operational systems deployed at multiple locations. The administrator applies advanced application networking knowledge, performs vulnerability management, and recommends technology direction aligned with business needs. The position supports all task areas. This position is contingent upon contract award and funding.
Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, install, configure, maintain, support, and optimize network software and communication links.
  • Analyze and resolve end-user software, program, and connectivity issues and provide end-user training.
  • Provide maintenance support for operational systems at multiple locations, covering both local and remote systems.
  • Perform general maintenance, upgrades, and new installations of servers and applications.
  • Apply advanced application networking knowledge, including application load balancing and fault tolerance.
  • Perform vulnerability management to support secure operation of systems and applications.
  • Recommend technology direction that aligns with the organization’s business vision.

Required Experience
  • At least seven years of progressive experience in Information Processing.
  • Within that experience, at least six years specializing in multiple Information Processing disciplines involving a range of hardware and software solutions.
  • At least four years of concentrated, hands-on experience installing, configuring, maintaining, and resolving issues with various software.

Security and Certification Requirements
The following requirements apply if the assigned duties require privileged access.
Sensitivity level: IT I – Secret.
Information assurance level: IAT I.
DoD approved 8570.01-M baseline certification for application, data, database, utility, or software tools administration requiring privileged access.
Computing Environment Certifications The specified computing environment certifications are listed below.
  • M2008 NET 7; MCITP SA; MCITP EA; CSA:WS2012; MCSE:WS2012; MCSA:WS2008; MCSM:DS; M2012 NET.
  • MCM: Windows Server 2008: Directory; MCA: MS Windows Server Directory; CCAA; GCWN M.
  • SAPCTA – System Administration (Oracle DB) with SAP NetWeaver 7.5.
  • SAPCTA – System Administration (SAP HANA as a Database) with SAP NetWeaver 7.5.
  • SAP CAA – SAP Business Objects Business Intelligence Platform 4.2.
  • SAPCTA – SAP System Administration with SAP NetWeaver 7.5 (Delta).
  • SAPCTA – SAP System Administration (SAP HANA as a database) with SAP NetWeaver 7.5 (Delta).
  • SAP HA200; SAP BOE320.

Salary range $175,000 to $182,000 annually 
The salary range is a general guideline. We consider several factors when determining base salary offers, including the position's scope and responsibilities, the candidate's experience, education, and skills, and current market conditions.
