TDI is seeking a Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Systems Administrator to support a DISA contract. The administrator will provide support for assigned systems supporting Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS).
This position is onsite 5 days/week in Fort Meade, MD and requires an active TS/SCI clearance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide Senior level expertise for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment.
- Lead as the Subject Matter Expert on all VDI related issues/needs.
- Provide support for ticket escalation on major outages.
- Provide strategic leadership and input with development partners to ensure customers understand emerging needs and technological advancements.
- Lead the onboarding and standup of new enclaves and environments as needed.
- Interact with Tier III support and evaluate vendor products.
- Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.
- Create, maintain, and implement detailed documentation and maintain standard operating procedures.
- Provide coaching and review the work of lower-level technical staff.
- Active Top Secret/SCI is required.
- Bachelor's degree and/or 8+ years of overall related experience with a Windows/Linux server environment. Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.
- Windows, Linux, and Solaris Server experience with expertise in at least one.
- Extensive experience working with virtual environments using VMware and VDI practices.
- Currently possess DoD 8570 certification at least IAT level II, e.g. Security+ CE.
- Integration of cyber security tools and systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems.
- Thorough knowledge of networking principles to included TCP/IP.
- Experience with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow
The anticipated salary range for this position is $110,000 - $115,000. This range is a good-faith estimate and not a guarantee of compensation. Final compensation will be based on factors including experience, education, skills, geographic location, internal equity, market data and applicable contract requirements, and may fall outside the posted range.
