About the Role:

As a Senior Endpoint Engineer, you will play a critical role in architecting, designing, maintaining, and securing the health and performance of Remitly's global IT endpoint fleet . Beyond daily system administration, you will have the autonomy to define the technical direction and select tools that best support Remitly's growth trajectory. Your responsibilities will include strategic improvements, automation, and advanced security protocols to ensure our endpoint systems align with industry standards, security requirements and organizational goals. You will report to the Senior IT Manager.

You Will:

  • Lead the design, deployment, and optimization of endpoint management solutions for Remitly's fleet of ChromeOS, macOS, and Windows devices, with a focus on automation, scalability, and long-term sustainability.
  • Implement and maintain configurations and security measures across the endpoint fleet, monitoring for vulnerabilities and ensuring compliance with CIS and NIST benchmarks.
  • Analyze complex issues to provide advanced troubleshooting and develop support guidelines for the helpdesk team, delivering lasting solutions.
  • Promote endpoint security policies, conduct log analysis, and lead incident response efforts for endpoint-related security incidents.
  • Support software deployment and updates to ensure consistent baseline configurations across all devices in alignment with Remitly standards.
  • Mentor team members, encouraging a culture of continuous improvement and engineering best practices.
  • Develop and document endpoint management processes (including runbooks)
  • Participate in project planning, contributing to organization-wide IT projects

You Have:

  • 5–7 years in an IT Engineering or IT Support role in an enterprise environment.
  • 4+ years of experience working with endpoint management stacks (e.g., Kandji, Workspace ONE, GitHub).
  • Experience deploying and operating security tools such as CrowdStrike, FleetDM, Kolide, or osquery.
  • Experience with GitHub and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, such as Chef, Puppet, Terraform, or similar platforms, for defining and managing infrastructure as code.
  • Proficiency in at least one scripting or programming language (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go, or Ruby) and familiarity with markup/configuration formats (e.g., JSON, YAML, HCL, or XML).
  • Experience resolving critical vulnerabilities
  • Practical experience applying CIS Benchmarks for endpoint hardening and NIST guidelines for compliance in an enterprise environment.
  • Skills in root cause analysis to resolve complex issues and implement preventive solutions.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and web application integration to enhance endpoint management capabilities.
  • Experience managing 5,000+ devices- macOS/Windows/Linux/Android/iOS/ChromeOS

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $108,000 -$135,000. In the U.S., Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
