Senior System Engineer

• System Administration: Oversee the design, planning, and architecture of enterprise systems, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance standards.
  
• Configuration & Deployment: Handle deployment and maintenance of systems and applications across global environments.
  
• Continuous Improvement: Identify areas for enhancement in deployment processes, system performance, and efficiency.
  
• Automation: Collaborate with DevOps and IaC teams to transition to containerized environments and improve system automation.
  
• Monitoring & Maintenance: Monitor system performance, capacity, and disaster recovery readiness, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  
• Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for processes, configurations, and knowledge sharing.
  
• Collaboration: Work closely with QA and Development teams to enhance software development processes and with DevOps Engineers on infrastructure optimization.
  

• Experience in Enterprise Environments:
  
  • Deep understanding of enterprise-level system design (security, centralized systems, ITIL awareness, etc.).
    
• Linux System Administration:
  
  • Extensive hands-on experience with Linux (RHCE-applicable level, certification not required). Minimum 6 years.
    
• Cloud Technologies:
  
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS and related products (Professional level, certification not required). Minimum 6 years.
    
• Container Technologies:
  
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and related ecosystems (EKS, ECS).
    
• Networking:
  
  • Strong foundational knowledge of networking concepts.
    
• Infrastructure Expertise:
  
  • Experience with storage solutions, clustering, load balancing, server provisioning, virtualization, and management.
    
• Security Advocacy:
  
  • Commitment to implementing and maintaining secure systems.
    
• ITIL Principles:
  
  • Understanding of ITIL practices is a plus.

• Cloud: AWS (EKS, Shield, Cloudflare, CloudFront, Lambda, DynamoDB).
  
• Containers: Docker, Kubernetes, Calico, Cilium.
  
• Operating Systems: RHEL/CentOS/Rocky Linux.
  
• Development & CI/CD: GitLab, Jenkins, JetBrains.
  
• Databases: PostgreSQL, TimeScaleDB, Cassandra, Kafka, Redis.
  
• Other Tools: RabbitMQ, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, MS AD, Okta, Jamf, Nexus, Atlassian, Slack.
