We are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Analyst to join the NDSS IT India team in Gurgaon. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, system administration, and enterprise support. This role requires hands-on expertise in troubleshooting, patching, vulnerability remediation, and scripting. The candidate should be proactive, technically sound, and capable of providing excellent support to end users while ensuring a secure, stable, and compliant IT environment.

Primary Roles & Responsibilities

User & Infrastructure Support

  • Provide prompt support to users via ticketing systems, email, chat, and phone.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to hardware, software, networks, VPN, and applications.
  • Document all support activities accurately within the ticketing system.
  • Assist users with workstation setup, peripheral configuration, and standard applications.

System Administration & Infra Management

  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows OS, standard applications, and productivity tools.
  • Administer Windows-based servers including performance monitoring, OS patching, services, and backup validation.
  • Handle file server management including permissions, NTFS access rules, quota monitoring, and shared folder structuring.
  • Manage endpoint administration tools (SCCM, client automation, ITSM tools) for deployments, patching, and compliance.

Active Directory & Identity Management

  • Administer and maintain Active Directory including users, groups, OU structure, GPOs, and security configurations.
  • Troubleshoot authentication issues, access problems, and domain-related errors.
  • Implement AD security best practices and ensure adherence to compliance policies.
  • Write/maintain PowerShell scripts to automate user provisioning, reporting, and routine administrative tasks.

Network & Connectivity

  • Diagnose and resolve LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and general network connectivity issues.
  • Coordinate with network teams for switch, firewall, ISP, or routing-related incidents.
  • Ensure proper network documentation and basic monitoring where required.

Vulnerability Management & Security

  • Use Qualys or similar vulnerability management platforms to scan, identify, and prioritize vulnerabilities across endpoints and servers.
  • Work closely with IT security and infra teams to plan and execute vulnerability remediation, patch deployment, and configuration hardening.
  • Monitor patch compliance for workstations and servers and ensure timely closure of critical vulnerabilities.
  • Conduct regular security audits on AD, file shares, endpoints, and configurations to maintain security posture.

Audits, Compliance & Reporting

  • Perform periodic file server permission audits, AD security audits, and endpoint compliance checks.
  • Maintain documentation for system configurations, incidents, processes, and changes.
  • Support IT audits by preparing logs, reports, and evidence of compliance.

Asset, Backup & DR Support

  • Work with asset management tools (e.g., Lansweeper) to track hardware and software across locations.
  • Support backup operations: monitoring, job verification, and restoration testing.
  • Assist in disaster recovery exercises and business continuity planning.

Required Skills & Attributes

  • 6–7 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years in direct infrastructure and end-user support.
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows OS, Windows Server, AD, Group Policies, DNS, DHCP.
  • Good understanding of networking (LAN/WAN, switches, firewalls, VPN concepts).
  • Experience with Qualys or other vulnerability scanning tools, including patch planning and remediation.
  • Hands-on experience with SCCM/client automation tools for deployments and updates.
  • Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and reporting.
  • Experience with remote support tools like Bomgar or similar.
  • Working knowledge of cloud technologies (Microsoft 365, Azure preferred).
  • Understanding of backup solutions, DR processes, and general IT security controls.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to create technical documentation.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Relevant certifications (Microsoft, Azure, security, or infra-related) are advantageous.
