Careem Grocery is on a mission to reinvent the way people shop for grocery, pharmacy and retail products. About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Supply Planning to lead and optimize our supply chain operations with a focus on strategic initiatives, distribution center planning, and capacity & replenishment planning. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficiency, scalability, and resilience of our supply chain to meet business objectives.
The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in supply planning, a data-driven mindset, and a collaborative approach to work cross-functionally with stakeholders across the organization.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Initiatives Management
- Develop and execute supply planning strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and cost optimization.
- Lead cross-functional projects to optimize supply chain performance, demand planning, and inventory management.
- Analyze market trends, supplier capabilities, and supply chain risks to develop proactive strategies.
Distribution Center Planning
- Oversee distribution network optimization, ensuring efficient inventory flow across multiple distribution centers.
- Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to enhance storage, handling, and fulfillment efficiency.
- Ensure effective inventory placement strategies to improve service levels and minimize cost.
- Monitor and improve key performance indicators (KPIs) for warehouse operations and distribution efficiency.
Capacity & Replenishment Planning
- Develop and implement capacity planning models to support business growth and seasonal demand fluctuations.
- Drive forecasting and replenishment strategies to ensure optimal stock levels across all channels.
- Partner with procurement and operations teams to enhance supplier collaboration and lead time management.
- Leverage data analytics to enhance inventory turnover, demand accuracy, and overall supply chain agility.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- 6+ years of experience in supply chain planning, with a focus on supply planning, distribution, and capacity management.
- Strong background in supply chain strategy, forecasting, and inventory optimization.
- Expertise in Analytics is a plus (SQL, Python, Advanced Excel etc.)
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive alignment between supply chain, logistics, and business operations.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data-driven decision-making.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in the retail, consumer goods, or manufacturing industries (preferred but not required)
