About the Opportunity

The Senior Supply Chain Sustainability Manager is an integral member of Driscoll’s of the Americas (DOTA) Supply Chain team. In addition to leading the collection of and reporting on Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions across the US, Mexico and Canada, they will work as a catalyst within the Supply Chain for the development, implementation and tracking of strategic business initiatives to maximize Driscoll’s ability to produce More Berries with Less Resources.
They will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, reporting requirements and commitments related to sustainability across the US, Mexico and Canada. The Senior Supply Chain Sustainability Manager will partner with internal teams (Sourcing, Real Estate, New Product Development, Distribution, Nursery) to engage with suppliers in the development of and reporting on emission reduction plans to meet company goals.
They will stay ahead of policy discussions and educate the team on potential impact on each aspect of the Supply Chain and work cross-functionally to develop comprehensive solutions.

 Responsibilities

•  Lead the collection and reporting of data for Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG emissions across US, Mexico and Canada.
•  Manage, analyze and communicate key insights from DOTA’s GHG Footprint to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
•  Manage compliance with Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) programs.
•  Incorporate sustainable practices into business processes to achieve Driscoll’s sustainability goals.
•  Manage internal and external tracking and reporting efforts, including renewable energy system performance, PET resin blend across thermoform suppliers and more.
•  Perform Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs) to inform packaging development decision making.
•  Develop and deliver materials to support awareness of programs, initiatives, reporting requirements and performance across internal and external stakeholders.
•  Manage resources as required to support data collection and program development.
•  Domestic and international travel required up to 20%.
•  Represents Driscoll’s in an ethical and business-like professional manner in all interactions with growers, co-workers, suppliers, customers and the business community at large.
•  Ensure the security of Driscoll’s confidential and proprietary information and materials.

    Candidate Profile

•  Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, sustainability, environmental science, ag-business or a related field and 8+ years’ experience with 5+ years managing employees. Master's degree preferred.
•  Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment showing initiative as an independent worker and team collaborator.
•  Understanding best practices for incorporation of environmental regulations and sustainability into supply chain operations.
•  Deep understanding of supply chain, business relationships and negotiations.
•  Experience ensuring compliance with regulatory, internal and external requirements and commitments.
•  Experience in managing projects and programs within a complex supply chain environment, ideally with a focus on sustainability.
•  Familiarity with environmental and social regulations, certifications and sustainability best practices.
•  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•  Experience with GHG Reporting programs including supplier engagement, onboarding, data collection and reporting.
•  Ability to engage with and manage external resources to support execution of initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

•  Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred, given cross-border operations.
•  Strong project management skills, with the ability to balance complex deliverables, multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines efficiently.
•  California driver’s license and the ability to be covered under company-sponsored vehicle insurance program.
•  A valid passport and the ability to travel internationally without restrictions.

Compensation & Benefits

The following information is provided in good faith as a general description of the salary range and benefits for the position posted.  The actual compensation offered to the successful candidate is dependent upon experience, skills, education, work location, internal pay equity, and other objective job-related factors.

Salary Range estimated for the Senior Supply Chain Sustainability Manager:$103,000.00/year to $125,000/year USD.
