Turner Staffing Group is recruiting a Sr. Supply Chain Specialist for a permanent opportunity with our client in the Republic, Washington area.

This is an opportunity to join an established mining organization operating in the rural landscapes of Washington State. The operation manages properties across various stages of exploration, development, care and maintenance, and closure, with a strong emphasis on safety, environmental stewardship, and responsible resource management.


Position Overview

Reporting to the Supply Chain Superintendent, the Sr. Supply Chain Specialist will lead and support procurement activities with a strong emphasis on contract development, negotiation, administration, and strategic vendor management.


This position plays an important role in supporting operational efficiency, cost control, supplier performance, and supply chain risk management. The ideal candidate brings significant procurement and commercial contracting experience, preferably within mining, heavy industry, oil & gas, or a similar industrial environment.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, draft, negotiate, and administer commercial contracts in accordance with company policies and business requirements.
  • Lead and support vendor negotiations involving pricing, delivery terms, warranties, service levels, commercial terms, and risk mitigation.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs), Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and competitive bid packages.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and provide recommendations for contract awards.
  • Partner with legal, operations, project, and supply chain teams to develop clear, effective agreements that support long-term business value.
  • Monitor supplier performance and compliance with contractual requirements and assist in resolving performance issues and disputes.
  • Maintain accurate procurement, sourcing, and contract documentation to support internal controls, audits, and compliance requirements.
  • Develop and maintain productive supplier relationships while promoting competitive pricing, service quality, and overall value.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supply chain risk mitigation.
  • Monitor market conditions, supplier performance, and sourcing trends to support informed procurement decisions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
  • 5–8 years of procurement experience, including significant experience with contract development and commercial negotiations.
  • Demonstrated ability to draft, negotiate, and administer commercial contracts.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes, commercial contract principles, and supplier performance management.
  • Experience in mining, heavy industry, oil & gas, or another industrial environment is preferred.
  • Experience working with ERP systems and procurement software.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across operations, projects, legal, and other business functions.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
